@ Stephen Gilberg: that's incorrect. The story happened because of Hanma wanting to make a game, not because of Susan. If Hanma had gone to someone else (in other words, if the readers hadn't voted for Susan), there still would be just as much story, it would just go differently. (And I think it would have been a more fun story, what with not including someone who's hesitant about transformation in a story that's all about having fun with transformation.)

Dan Shive

Yeah she did. "WELP, I helped an immortal design a magic board game, and now she effectively wants tests subjects. GOOD LUCK, SUCKERS!"

Fenrir

...Except my impression is she *has* been enjoying it? She's just not as open about enjoying some forms, and she's also more reserved than the others. But as she established last comic, she liked several of the forms for different reasons...they just also have aspects she doesn't like as much, and she's trying to pick which downsides to go with.

Serith

She helped Hanma design the game but she didn't have to play it too. I'm not as upset with her critiquing as much as with her bothering to play if she's clearly not going to enjoy it.

Stephen Gilberg

Honestly, without Susan, there wouldn't be much of a story here.

You had me at 5 cow Susan's

Dan Shive

In a private setting with friends. They're heading out in whatever forms they choose.

Arguably, it would actually be in character for her to try the more extreme forms for personal study (like the cow form regardless of attraction bonuses, etc). This was a character that willingly went though gender bending for the sake of learning more about it.

It's an age-old problem with non-cannon stories: If you keep the characters too close to how they are in the main story, they can be a bit boring in the non-cannon one. If you change them to fit the non-cannon story, then it doesn't seem to fit their cannon personality. Finding the sweet spot where the character gets to have some fun but still comes off as believable is hard to do.

Val Salia

Since there's 2 "I am totally up for this and experienced with changing" characters, and 1 "I am totally into this but am really new to the possibility" character in this group, I've been enjoying Susan's role as a more serious, hesitant element in this storyline! I totally get how she might seem like a bit of a downer to some, but it seems like she's setting up for being more relaxed about certain kinds of things on this page. : D

I agree. That was my big issue with her in the earlier strips - it seemed like every time someone played a card, Susan called for a rules clarification or something like that, and she seemed whiny about a lot of it. She usually seemed like she didn't enjoy transforming very much, if at all. Things got better as the game went on, but still. I know she's a popular character, but this is not a good story for her to be in.

Serith

This I why I don't like Susan in this storyline. She doesnt want to transform and complains about a bunch of the transformations. Susan, why are you playing this game? She just keeps bringing down the mood in my opinion, it's sad.

Matt R

So, does that mean her breasts will be C-cups, D-cups at most, rather than the cow form sizes?

Scotty

She seemed indifferent about the breasts themselves just the form in general didn't feel lanky to her.

coredumperror

What's wrong with watermelon sized breasts, Susan? You seemed to like them a bit when you were in cow form. :)
