Yeah, I edited out the "two or four hooves" bit, Dan answered it on the subreddit. (And the answer is two.) I asked because "arm hooves" are a thing with some MLP anthros.

I'd say that four hooves would run counter to the goal of allowing the players to hold their cards and the dice, but then the lack of opposable anything never stopped the ponies of Equestria from holding things.
