All Pinups or Some Pinups Poll

I am very much down with mixing it up. I like the sexy stuff (actually, I *really* like the sexy stuff), but I also like very cool stuff, such as characters playing other characters, things like that.

Ohhh, so by pinups, vs non-Pinups, you don't mean "3x6 high quality glossy of the character that can be appreciated" vs "Anything from random doodle I did on a napkin to a signed copy of the Declaration of the Independence for the new world country of Shive of which you are now all citizens" but "Sexy centerfold" vs "Not-neccesarrily-sexy but still a centerfold"?

I, too, have enjoyed the pinups far more than the sketchbooks, but I voted the other way because I am neither Duck nor Drake.

Any non-pinup stuff could also be posted in the sketchbook section as well instead of the pinup tumblr.

Well the fact we give real money to see what you draw implies a certain amount of trust. I would rathe see things you are enjoying and wanting to draw if something comes to you. your stuffs been good so far.

I will admit, one of the suggestions I backed out of suggesting this month was "The exact moment Tedd fell in love with Grace" as it wasn't pin-uppy... But I'm still on the Pin-ups side of the debate.

Pinups all have suggestive content of some sort, be it context, form, outfits, etc. non-pinup could just be Jeremy doing something particularly neat (an extreme example, but I hope it clarifies things)

I agree with Joshua Peterson. This was a vague enough question I have no foggy clue what the question actually is. Broken down as I understand it in it's simplest form: "Do you want stuff, or stuff with stuff?"

Reading through comments, the "stuff besides pinups" is pretty vague. I'm voting in the hopes that it means Dan having more creative leeway, and less we'll get sketches instead of pinups. I'm hoping more "EGS main, EGS NP, EGS Patreon" where we get a special 3rd comic series.

I do really, really like the pinups, but I also really want Dan to have the freedom to do something if there's an idea that sounds really interesting or fun. Plus, to be honest, there's only so many ways you can put absurdly large breasts on a person and still have it interesting, and anything that encourages more creativity over more Fv5 is probably a good thing.

Given that the mix is the projected winner, this is something I'm going to have to consider. I really don't want there to be that many separate polls. Even if I limit them to one winner with three each, I'd have to think of more options, and determine whether they're pinup or not so pinup. Looking back, however, except in some overt cases, it can be argued that several of the past pinup options weren't specifically, or didn't have to be considered, "pinup" in nature. I foresee a lot of the same options with potentially more sensible outfits ^^;

Maybe if Dan decides that in a given month he's going to split a reward tier between pinuppy and not (eg, one pinuppy double and one sketchbooky one). I think that in the end we'll vote for the idea that is most interesting, not necessarily the most tush-tastic.

These polls are one of the few ways we can influence what sort of things you draw for us, so it would be great to be able to get more than just pinups. (I've actually been wanting to see more than pinups here from the start - so much so that I occasionally have thrown in suggestions that barely counted as pinups, or were pinup versions of what I really wanted to see.) I am a bit concerned about the pinups and non-pinups competing with one another, though; perhaps there should be separate polls for each?

I voted pinups only and here's why: the pinups feel like something special, and I look forward to them more than I realized. It sounds like the expanded option would lead to more sketchbook-like pics, and while I always liked the sketchbooks, they're not the same. Reading this post, and seeing the way the vote's going, makes me feel like there's going to be less of something I really enjoy, and that makes me sad. I'm not going to stop being a patron or anything like that; I love EGS and I'd support it the same even if there were no rewards at all. And I don't expect what I say here to change anyone's mind. I just took the time to sort out my feelings on this and wanted to have my say.

I'm more wondering if it'll bring complaints if pinups never win in the polls. I like variety, but I also liked the pinups because they seemed like something special, stuff we wouldn't normally get to see in the comic or on the site's sketchbook. This sounds like it'll make it so we have a mix of pinups and sketchbook-like options, and I'm not sure how I feel about that.

I like the pin-ups, but I also like the other Stuff. So, variety please!

While I'm personally in favor of the pin ups, i also favor variety, because i want you to draw what interests you so you'll keep drawing and not get burnt out or feel like you are bound to draw things you no longer want to.

When I first joined I totally did not realize that all the rewards were supposed to be pin ups. I remember the odd remarks I inspired for the first few weeks.

Quoting from dictionary.com: "a large photograph, as of a sexually attractive person, suitable for pinning on a wall."

Pinups don't interest me in the least, so anything to add some variety gets my full support.

While I like the pin up content, I certainly wouldn't mind using these to check out what's going on with characters we haven't seen in a while, or just moments that we never got the chance to see.

I know I stopped pledging at the poll tiers because the pinups didn't interest me at all, so I am defenitely in favor of variety. Why was it like that in the first place?
