The first storyline will be canon, though I'm boldly assuming there will be many more EGS:NP comics beyond it :)

This is nice. Both for clarity and because it's confirmation we'll get a mix of canonical and non-canonical madness. (Personally I'm hoping for a sequel to the Jumanji-esque story.)
