financial hardship after taxes
🕑 Added 2021-06-20 12:54:11 +0000 UTCi just spent a lot in taxes for this quarter and feel stressed about it, with bills and rent coming up.
i guess its the bane of being a fulltime content creator, its expected of me to pay taxes on my income but these past few months have been financially devastating in terms of sales on my music and merchandise - further feeding into feelings of self-doubt and imposter syndrome as an artist. i feel as if people are caring less because i havent put out music under GOJII since april.
im trying the best i can by still searching for a job, maintaining my medication (which hasnt been working), and self-care so my creative energy returns for this project and i can resume my creative vision. my life is getting to be more difficult by the day and i just want nothing more than to be self-sustaining and happy enough to continue creating.

this constant financial struggle and being told to “sell more merch” or “make more music” doesnt help esp when the merch i am selling no one seems to want to buy
i am lucky to have patrons who care enough about what i do to pay me monthly and i dont want to let anyone down. i cannot thank everyone enough for believing in me, i really want to be able to give you the content you are wanting from me.
