Growth. That's always been the point of the series, the growth of the characters. Importantly, none of them (except maybe Tigu) really despise their base form. Being human, however, does allow them a little extra. Would the Shrouded Mountain Sect have let a chicken in for training, as an example?

I kinda feel like the story has lost the farm feel with all the animals turning into humans. What’s the point of a spirit beast if they are just regular cultivators with extra steps?
