CakeMix Character Creator - November 2023
🕑 Added 2023-11-08 01:34:13 +0000 UTCHere is the latest version of CakeMix, for November 2023!
It's a zip file so just unzip it somewhere on your computer and then run one of the links in the folder to use Desktop or VR mode.
This update started out as me fixing some teeth issues that were in the last update. Then I got carried away and did a bunch of other stuff.

Here's some of what's in this update:
- New Character Loader: Improved the file loader (finally!) - Now it looks nicer, plus you can see photos of the characters so you know who you're loading. You can take new photos in Desktop mode on the Save screen, or in VR with the phone camera that pops up. Make sure you save your character first before taking the photo, just to make sure it's all saved properly. I'll make some fixes to that later so it's smoother.
- Hairstyles: Added two new hairstyles, and made it less likely for mohawk and half-shaved styles to get chosen when making random characters. I mean, who doesn't love a hot babe with a mohawk? But you know, it kept choosing it way too often.
- Skin Color Slider: Added a slider to the Options that allows you to set a preferred average skin color for generated characters. Or, check the box that makes it random and you'll get all types.
- Improved Sliders: Fixed the way some slider worked (weirdly), and now all shape sliders work as intended. Adjustment sliders (mouth size, nose height, things like that) are now included in random generation, so there are more varieties that come out of it.
- Added New Shapes: There are some new teeth shapes, nose shapes, etc. Also added a few more adjustment sliders for the nose.
- Skin Improvements: Made some changes to skin textures so they look better.
- Color Pickers: Added some color pickers to several things, notably skin, hair and makeup options. Now you can have even more control over the color of those sections.
- UI Scale: Added a UI scaling slider to the Options screen, so if you like your User Interface larger or smaller, there you go.
- T-Pose: Made the T-Pose in the Creator stay on while you want it on, instead of it turning off every time you click a new button.
- Options Screen: Improved the Options section so it takes up less space and is easier to use.
- Fixed Decimal Places: Some people were having trouble loading characters, because the files were saved with commas for decimal places, and not the period we use here in the US. I fixed it so it should now load those characters just fine.
- There's More: I'm sure I've forgotten something here. I added and changed a bunch of things.
- Tons of Bug Fixes - yup, there are always bugs, and yup, I'll always keep fixing them.
VR mode runs great on PC with a Quest 2 headset, and it's been tested to run on cards all the way down to a GTX 970 (although some things will cause slowdown if your card is that old, so be aware). Also, if you have another VR headset besides Quest2, please let me know how it works.
