Listening to this, what I want now is a Star Wars show set in the far future, where a young force user learns the ways of the force from the ghost of Anakin trying to actually make good and repair the damage he did. Like imagine a world where we get to see Anakin struggle to articulate his philosophy on the force now that he has turned away from the dark side, but all his experiences with the Jedi as a student were shit too, so he's struggling to find a voice for his new philosophy, while also being a ghost now who cannot be physically imposing and show off his skills like he could when alive. Like a jock who gets paralyzed in a horrible accident and has to learn how to coach when he cuts just stand up and show them.

Hilarious discussion of a show I mostly hated... thoughts on this?? https://realcontextnews.com/a-plea-to-disney-for-coherence-and-quality-control-in-star-wars-and-more-finesse-with-politics/

late to this episode but the phrase "palpatine usually has a bottom, who has a third" is amazing

a tale of two fandoms: RedLetterMedia after watching Picard S2: This Kenobi TV Show is alright. AMCA after watching Andor: Yo Obi-Wan Kenobi is straight up dogshit!

As a new Star Wars fan who became a fan after the Clone Wars series,I loved the whole Obi Wanseries.

Thank you for your meat service o7

In Return of the Jedi, Vader does a little 'info pulling' on Luke. It seems a bit more like passive reading, but that's how he learns Luke has a sister. Vader then taunts him with that info to get him to fight. At least that's always how I read that scene.

Grand Inquisitor "HE-llo" is an all-time great SW moment

Meat VFX Man from Twitter here. Around 1:13:49, you talk about the upsetting violence warning. I don't have any "behind the scene" specific insight (basically, please don't take this as exactly 100% fact). Still, I think this was added in because another horrific school shooting occurred right before the show aired. The series opens up in a school-like environment with active shooters killing teachers and students. I believe any episode where this may have appeared in the recap or violence on kids was shown; you probably got this warning. I want to share more, but Disney has scary NDAs.

The wasted potential of this show is so frustrating : I felt the exact same way when they say that not only did they assemble a great cast but failed to do anything with it, but also that we won’t get a second try. This is it, and it’s mediocre to bad, and now it’s done. And I say this as a really sentimental person who would have let a lot more stuff go - I just drifted away after a few episodes because there wasn’t anything holding me.

Rob, I know you’ve talked about it but I NEED you to play Dark Forces 2 on a stream.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Can't wait for the Dad-bod Boba review.

For context, this show premiered the same week as a school shooting in the US, so i always took the content warnings to be about the order 66 scenes. IIRC those warnings are there only for episodes with those flashbacks
