Welcome back to Swift Guitar Lessons for another mini-lead tutorial. Every once in a while, a guitarist receives a wonderful "ah-hah" moment where they happen upon something that forever changes their playing. One such technique for me is the concept of string-skipping, which allows a soloist to access less predictable notes and create more evocative melodic ideas. In today's session, Ive broken down the basic approach in the context of two beautiful phrases in the key of E major. Let's get started! -Rob

it does have a little of that Jessica feel at the end. very nice, and as you said something different... are there particular intervals that work well with the octaves and/or tying arpeggios to them
