🕑 Added 2016-06-23 23:04:24 +0000 UTC A quick explanation of the steps here are:1- Base lineart
- Base flat colors
- Basic shading, using a layer on Multiply mode, using warm colors : )
- Secondary light (grey), I basically apply it on the darker areas of the shading, to neutralize the saturation. Usually on a normal or overlay mode layer.
- Highlights! Two layers, one for soft lights and another for hard or rim light. Soft waterbrush, and then another using a harder brush to use mostly on edges or shiny surfaces.
- Overlay again, changing some hues! On highlighted areas, I use a soft brush to make shading and coloring slightly red-ish , warmer, and in the darker areas, I make them slightly blueish or green.
- Background, no lineart, basic shapes in greyscale.
- Some more defining shapes, still in black and white.
- Some rough lights and shades. Warm lights, cold shades again : D
- Put a pink Overlay layer over the whole background to make it all pink, and added some sparkles : D
