This is the song I’d take on that island where I was allowed just one. It’s like nothing before or after it. And every time I hear it is like the first time.

Sweet

Maybe you updated it, or maybe it's because these avatars are so small on my tablet screen, but I enlarged it and can now see what I assume is Tango; what a beautiful friend.

André Salles

That analysis is gonna be great, I'm looking forward to see how Amy will interpretate the lyrics...

Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields Forever was released on 17.02.1967, before Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (01.06.1967). We started "The Beatles Complete" with Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album.

This will be a lot of fun! Amy must have had a blast with IATW

Gustavo Faveron-Patriau

What happened to Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields Forever?

TangoEliott

I loved Hello Goodbye and sang it all the time with gusto. I am the Walrus, well I ended up singing that sometimes, once I learned the lyrics. Of course I did not understand. Then once I learned them I had no idea what it was about but I still sang it. I found out John was playing with professors and that it really wasn't about anything but confusing people. Go figure

Wayne Wheatley

I take it this song was released as a single, which is why it's being reviewed now I suppose, but I'd prefer just starting the Magical Mystery Tour album, the US release has all the singles does it not? I thought that was the plan now.

Adrian Sturgess

Yes, I agree. Not a great fan of that technique for condensing a video - a little irritating actually - would prefer some sort of subtle fade in /fade out. But I guess we are all different.

David Taylor

Please don't forget about Penny Lane. I'm thinking that song will really appeal to Amy. Paul painted a vivid picture of his and John's neighborhood using old fashioned/alternate descriptions and word play. Truly one of Paul's best efforts.

That was a fun sneak peek. Looking forward to the full video hopefully tomorrow?

I hope you'll be able to finally reveal to me what an Egg-man is.

Amy Shafer

Oh, no worries, George, I got it! I just wanted to give you more "sneak peak" :)

George Brady

Thank you, Vlad! My comment was meant as a complimentary observation. I understand and support what you're doing, in case I haven't been clear. Keep it up!

Amy Shafer

Well George, the idea behind this series is to give you guys a few of Amy's ideas without her deep development of them and thus give YOU the chance to develop them your own way before hearing what she had to further say on each point. I think the dialogues here, on Patreon, will become even more interesting. Vlad.

George Brady

Just like The Beatles, Amy's producer has found a way to transform her genius into something different, without her having to record anything new!

Rea Lavi

I find the the frequent/lengthy use of the rewind sound annoying - constructive criticism in case many others feel the same (perhaps they don't).

El Jimi

very effective teaser :)

Alan

Can’t wait!!😁
