Thank you. I hope the other cover version you plan to listen to is by k. d. lang -especially a live version, particularly the performance at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.

The entirety of his album, Grace, is flowing and magnificent. Very happy you’ve started this journey…

You pretty much have to listen to Lover You Should’ve Come Over now

There’s some lovey pictures of Jeff Buckley with Paul and Linda McCartney. They almost look like his parents giving him hugs lol, very cute. Linda had taken pictures of Jeff’s dad as she when she was a working photographer The other great Jeff Buckley song I think is Lover You Should’ve Come Over

This piece introduced me to both the singer and the song, and it is embedded in my consciousness as the definitive version. Buckley had never heard Leonard Cohen's version at the time, either, basing his cover on another. This album, "Grace" is Buckley's only formal output, having died young from drowning. The album is filled with other ethereal, delicate and beautiful songs, and is a rewarding listen even now, 17 years after its release. Thank you, Amy - in my opinion, you got this exactly right.
