I never liked this song. It was too commercial for me. I still don't like it. Too safe. I'd rather listen to something more adventurous and experimental. Something like Revolution 9 to be honest. Pop Music doesn't have sound like a TV advert, does it? I have to listen to some Bob Dylan now to cleanse my ears from this.

While I'm thinking of it. Different mics used for voices can add their own signature sound to the voice. I would not be surprised that different areas in the world used the same mics. One of many videos about this. https://youtu.be/IzT1oeHjIj4

You should definitely dive into ABBA. I'm actually a Queen fan, but ABBA is really something that takes you to another world.

As I understand it, this song started as a Christmas song (Christmas for the Broken-hearted) and this version was slightly rewritten a few years later, so it definitely has some wintery DNA in it.

Spending My Time, Listen to Your Heart.... Roxette had many great songs. I hope Amy gets to hear some more from them someday.

Frida from ABBA sang with Marie several times. It is clear by your comments that you really need to do a deep dive into ABBA. It will make you change your mind.... Meanwhile I love this song, I love Marie, her voice perfect for this song.

This was a great Pop song from 90’s and it has the typical arrangement. Thanks for your analysis Amy.

Although this was Roxette's signature song (because it was on the soundtrack of a hit film), it isn't nearly their best. For a better power ballad, try Fading Like a Flower. For a hard rocking song, try The Look,

The sound mix of the song looks and sounds awfully low. Are you sure you received the full experience? Could it be a poor quality audio file?
