Just looking at the cliffs in your video I’m ready to bet that a climber would be tempted to be reckless, perhaps without technical equipment and out of improvisation. A perfect recipe for “we'll never see him again, ever” if anything goes wrong. The same applies with petroglyphs and anything of native culture significance, there’s no need to imagine rituals or mind altering substances. As you said elsewhere, “lots of unknown”. These are places where just going a little off trail to take a better photo can mean falling heaven knows where and we know that he did that and much more. I’m in no position to judge him since I did basically the same more than once; it’s sad for him and for all people near to him. Your work is important because it remembers us the dangers of the wilderness but also its beauty. Thanks again and keep on!

It's funny you mention that. One of the things I noticed while working on this case was an abundance of unidentified bodies that would show up in the general region over time. Obviously, each time they had one, they wanted to make sure it wasn't David and it never was. As you said, you don't hear about it too much. A beautiful, strange, and dangerous place.

Damn, Jenna really looks a lot like this girl(possible methhead) that was with this older man that disappeared. This woman tried breaking the guys car to start it, I think they were out pan handling(??? Looking for gold). Do you think Jenna is related to this other woman(lol)

Looks like they called the trail after him. If you bring it up in the episode, then word. I normally pause the video and comment as it plays out. Also, I saw the Three Sisters on the map there, and I got Deja vue hardcore lol. There is a man that went on a hiking trip to the Three Sisters, and disappeared forever. Just heard about it a few weeks ago while listening to a long list of missing people on one of those top ten yt list channels(something for noise in the background while I work lol). But it looks like that was probably at the Three Sisters mountain range in Oregon. Think it was more recent also

I used to live quite close to where Mr. Miller disappeared and still live not far away in Flagstaff; I'm actually surprised I'd never heard his story before. It is unfortunately not unusual for people to go missing in the country around the Verde Valley and elsewhere in Northern Arizona. Just a couple years ago the remains of an unidentified individual were found in a rugged, remote area just W/SW from my city that had clearly been there for many years. If I go on the Charley Project website and search for missing people in my part of the country, it is startling how many people come up. As you very aptly described, Nick, it's beautiful, dramatic and spiritually inspiring country...but also a strange place where it is not difficult to become disoriented and lost, and it's quite unforgiving (very arid and hot much of the year) if you don't take wise precautions.
