So, am I correct in theorizing that the eldritch abomination is meant to be a representation of the player?

Or he just made it so events stay in limbo like he said. Nothing changing, everything just stays as it currently is.

So it wasn’t that he shut off reality, he either shut off the living instinct to do anything productive or the concept of time just ends
