The State of Puwa Projects

As you guys have noticed, there's been a decline in images and comics. I wanted to address this with you guys, and talk about a solution to it, that I hope you guys would understand.
I want to give you guys far more content and story driven stuff, but I've struggled so much with my habits of art.
Everything has to be super smooth, or super clean, but it also takes so. much. time. This sort of thing just bleeds into everything. Commissions, sketches for friends. It never just takes me half an hour to do something. It takes me around 4-5 hours to even do something simple. And it's not intentional, I have always taken very very long on almost everything I would touch.
I've always been rather self conscious about my work, and it caused to try to do my best on everything, but it came at a cost. I would take forever trying to make things look "right". And I couldn't stop this habit. As a result, I would disappoint so many people who looked forward to my stuff. I couldn't finish anything in a good time span.
After years of doing this, I've finally come to the realization that not everyone is in it for super clean art. Everyone wants to know your characters, and story, and see big butts. But my own perfectionism has gotten in the way so much, that I haven't even touched the story I've had for YEARS. And I don't want that. I really want everyone to enjoy the characters for who they are. Not for my art. My art is important when it comes to the Puwas, but not to this degree.
I feel ashamed, and I feel upset that I couldn't meet everyone's expectations for Puwa lore and stories. It's my fault. I've made it hard on myself, and I've disappointing many others. I don't want to keep going like this. I want to tell stories, I want everyone to explore the lore with me. But it's me keeping from that.
I have to learn, that I can't just keep taking up time because my perfectionism tells me that I should make sure EVERYTHING looks good.
From now on, I'll be doing less detailed work, in an effort to put out story driven content. Keeping things simple, but still keeping quality up. No overzealous shading and detailing. More stories, more booties, less complicated coloring.
That's the thing that's stopping me, just going overboard with the coloring. Sure it looks nice, but what's the point when I can't even get stories out, when coloring takes up so much of my time.
I hope you guys won't be dissatisfied with this decision to keep coloring more simple, for the sake of more content. I have so much to share, but I've never given myself the time to really explore it. I thought making better art would help with everything, but in the end, it never did.
Here's to more Puwa content. I really hope you guys will enjoy what's to come, even if the coloring has to be downgraded some.

(huff) I feel this. u_u I myself have trouble actually producing things because in my eyes it isn't "perfect." I do really like your "super rendered" stuff, but going "masterpiece quality" for EVERY picture really drains you fast, even moreso if you're doing it in comic form. Like others said, save the super-rendering for "special" or "important" moments, or something you're passionate about. But if a story's what you want to tell, you just gotta simplify your style.

This is a brilliant idea. Just keep certain places where it's important. Definitely something I'll have to do.

I'm all for the new changes! If you feel the urge to make something stand out and use all your drawing ability, maybe keep it to a very important/impactful part in the story. That way it'll be memorable and you'll still be getting what you need to get out. As well as maybe, increasing the connection we feel to the characters.
