Thanks to everyone who voted in the last few polls, at an overwhelming 95% you've voted to add moaning sound effects to the game! I've spent a long time listening to each sound effect trying to find voices that match up with characters. The main problem I've found is a lot of the sound effects are very "Anime", that sort of very high pitched squeaking, which can be fine in certain scenarios but I don't think it suits any of the characters. I've collected and organized a batch now and I'm going to start implement them in the next couple of weeks.
Thanks also to those who voted in the goblin village poll, it's really interesting for me to learn how people go through the game. I can playtest myself but I already know where everything is so it's not always a fair look. I'm making a couple of adjustments to that story line. Firstly the quest to save her from the house, the key is no longer in the deep water, it's in the shallows so you don't have to upgrade the boat to get it. There's also more of a hint that the goblin village is behind that boulder. I've also adjusted it so you have to had progressed Orla's story to unlock Elsy's. Currently you can progress Elsy's story without the scene of her riding in the castle but that skips over a major development between the characters so you now have to progress it in the correct order.
There is so many small improvements I'm making it's impossible to list them all. It's funny, every time I release a new version I'm immensely proud of it. Then I start working on the next version and about halfway through I look back and go, oh that was bad, oh that needs fixing, I can't believe I released it like that, this next version is the only one people should be playing. Then I release it and the cycle continues again!
Oh one fun improvement I'm making is to the bank quest, currently the reward is just a lot of money, which is nice but a bit boring. So I'm adding a additional reward of a safe in the house which contains a big pile of money, which you can make bigger or smaller the more money you have.
If you like the game please consider leaving it a positive review. It really helps us out!
Catch you in the next update
