Man, I was so hyped after the first episode and the first arc was great. Thinking about that last arc leaves me with disappointment; they even toned down Zero Two! At least I enjoyed the early Zero Two with her red outfit while it lasted...

Scroubignon

Yeah the ending was kinda disappointing and weird (a true spiritual sequel to Evangelion lmao). It reminded me a lot of Muv Luv Alternative, with an XCOM sauce. Except Muv Luv's ending was much, MUCH better (though the format was obviously different). Redeeming quality though : the song they used in the OP is a masterpiece and I still cry everytime I listen to it. And 02 was really good waifu material, and the reason everyone watched this in the first place.

there's just 26 episodes. It's just that the alien thing in the final arc seems super random and doesn't make sense but may be that's just my opinion too

The show fell off? I kinda was OK with how it ended. Or are there more than the 26 episodes?
