Some serious thought about removing Tier 2
🕑 Added 2016-01-24 03:47:09 +0000 UTC I have this serious thought about some new Tier setup.It's been half a year since I started the Patreon project and I've been giving it my all effort and got so much supports from you guys, but I have to say before I have reached this point, I was so nervous about how the others and the non-supporters would think of me.
This could be new to someone but all my works done here are meant to be NSFW or at least major fanservices, but to be able to post them arts on some other sites with strong policy, (Deviantart for example) I need to put some censorship on and ended up having to make all the "safe versions" for every single one of them.
This led to more work, as I have to make the nude/nsfw versions first which requires me to draw the full nudity most of the time, then make the clothing layers to cover up and try to get them finished images looking not so lewd as known as them safe versions to be able to post them on websites. This is always a pain since it consumes extra big amount of time, around 50% more time spent for each one I must say, plus it limits the posing and concept of each images to very few choices. I feel like I couldn't even get my erotic ideas to work for half the potential.
But since I've grown some supports thanks to you guys, I feel like I could care less for the outside world and lean towards more over the nsfw train I'm planning to get on. I'm a fanservice/hentai artist after all :)
I'm considering removing Tier 2 ($5) and just make most the rewards NSFW friendly without having to make the safe versions for safe tier supporters since 80% of you guys are supporting the NSFW Tier (Tier 3, $10) anyway.
I will still crop the images or throw in some mosaic/white box censorship to announce whenever a new work is done. The supporters will get the uncensored/uncropped images as rewards as usual.
This would lead to allowing me to gain more working time to start the hentai comic project I long for, or possibly an additional pieces of reward for each month. I promise that when this starts, you guys can look forward to seeing more erotic stuffs on my Patreon.
I can't say it's a permanent change though. I will try if it works well for probably a couple months. If it doesn't, then back to the old method. Will start this soon. Not sure if I will start right away on February, or may be March.

Thank you Saint Tail :) this is a great info and suggestion. I kinda stopped giving a damn about DA for a while after salty things. The community is so arrogant and full of witch hunting that I just stopped caring. I will be putting full safe clothes on when that character is someone to be recognized only with their signature outfits then I guess. Not like I will start this very soon, but yeah that would be the idea.

I was in that same dilemma as a creator. I started doing the clothes thing and then I was like screw it, not worth it and now I just do nsfw stuff. You can just censor your nsfw art on DA with pixels, a fade, crop it or something classy. If you use censors on your nsfw stuff when you post on places like DA, some people will bitch about Patreon censorship but ignore them that's going to happen. I think you should do 1 or 2 clothes versions but not a SFW for every single picture. Good luck :)

We could say that I want to draw more NSFW, but I will still be drawing some safe pics occasionally since I'm not horny 24/7 lol The point of this is to grant me more available working time and more choices of drawing ideas. Right now it's really limited since the compose of the images needs to be able to throw in some safe elements. I will need to plan a lot more for the comics. Hey, thank you for the suggestion!

Yes, I will be making my original hentai comics (can't say manga though since I won't make them read from right to left) and they will be in English, but in rough quality though.

I see that you want to draw more NSFW. I'm okay with that since I like your stuff and thats why I support you. But I think that you should have a bit of SFW still. For example instead of doing your way you showed us (make nsfw and transorm it into sfw), you have some art of this char in nsfw and the other art would be sfw? Could be the same character in a different pose as a rough sketch? And maybe it could help if you have less vote characters (your monthly poll). Look how much you want to draw that month and you can limit to 2 or 3. Something that makes a bit easier so you can draw your comic/doujin. Just only my few ideas for someone who has not much of a idea haha.

Always for nsfw but will say the fully done sfw makes it possible to show your work off.

Hentai comic project? Do you mean you will be creating your own H-manga? Will they be in japanese, english, or both?

I'm really not sure if it will turn out good, but keep making these time consuming effort to create safe version of the works that are meant to be a fanservice is really killing me XD and thank you for your comment, JF. You have been a really great supporter and companion!
