The plan was simple. Robert was going to enter the city as a merchant and then open the gates from inside when the Unsullied army would arrive. However, Missandei was sent with him with the excuse that he couldn't speak the language.
Robert saw it differently. Daenerys sent her to keep an eye on him and to ensure that he fulfilled his end of the deal. However, Missandei and Daenerys most certainly knew that if Robert were to discard them and leave, there was nothing they could do to stop him.
That was why the hope was pinned on Missandei's charm. That Robert still held enough interest in her to play along with their plan.
Missandei looked up at his face, standing right beside him, shoulders touching, on the ship's deck as they approached the Astapor.
Mentally, Missandei was a changed woman. After spending nights with Robert, she'd felt sexually different. He wasn't the first man, but he was certainly the first to bother with her pleasure. There was far more intelligence in those eyes than what Robert's mouth hinted at.
"Not all Unsullied speak the common tongue, My Lord. I was sent as a translator."
"Really?" Robert smirked and wrapped an arm around her soft, curvy, tall waist. He pulled her in, knowing well the men on the ship felt envy because of his actions. "And what if I be needin’ more than just yer tongue fer words, eh?"
"I am here to serve as you require, My Lord," Missandei replied without even a breath wasted.

"Ha! Ye think yer life’s in yer own grubby hands? Not a chance, lass. Ye dance on the strings of yer master’s wits, an’ the moment yer precious queen bollocks it up an’ gets herself skewered, ye’ll be next on the chopping block. Missandei's mind wandered off to the many men and followers who had died over the journey. She'd heard stories, too, of previous followers of Daenerys. She was scared, of course, but Daenerys was just, kind, and strong. She believed in her.
But as she glanced at Robert's face again. She didn't feel certain anymore. What if there are more monsters like Robert out there?
After all, at the end of the day, Daenerys remained a common creature of flesh and bones. Only Dragons made her special.
"What would you have had me do, My Lord?"
"Nothing, lass. We ain't cut from the same cloth. I can't stomach bowin' to anyone, nor servin' another. But you, well, ye seem to fancy servin'. Not that I'd mind that in the bedchamber, mind ye, but out here? Bah! That's downright vile!"
Robert moved away as the ship began to approach the docks.
Some time later, Robert deboarded the ship and entered the city of Astapor. While the port area was bustling with activity, the reality was more visible as he entered further in. Slaves were everywhere, and almost all of them had bruises over their bodies. The ground still had traces of blood in some parts.
"We'll find a nice place to stay until the Unsullied arrive," Robert declared and led Missandei to a nice part of the town. Thanks to Daenerys' generous donation to his campaign, he had a lot of coin to spend.
Nobody stopped them there. Missandei spoke for Robert each time while he acted all high and annoyed. As the night approached, they had a lavish lodging rented in an upscale inn. Of course, Robert kept Missandei with him.
A little too close perhaps, as once the night fell, loud moans echoed from that particular floor. Flesh struck against flesh, a rhythm the two had gotten used to. While it helped Robert keep his mind calm, for Missandei, it was a rather satisfying ritual. Willing and needy, both let go of all restraints and simply lived in the moment.

Stannis Baratheon did all he could to keep the realm safe and peaceful. But after so many months of Robert's disappearance, the regions barely held on by weak links began to falter.
Vale erupted in an internal power struggle. House Royce tried to take over Vale by using Robert Arryn, on whose behalf Lord Royce acted as the Lord Regent. Other houses didn't like Lord Royce's ambitions.
Meanwhile, Riverlands was a mess. With Robert gone, the Ironborn seemed to have regained their lost confidence. Or perhaps it was Westerlands aiding them. The fertile plains of Riverlands had turned into slaughterhouses, villages pillaged, fields burned, castles sieged, and blue blood spilled.
Lord Hoster Tulley was barely alive, and Edmure was far too naive to do anything about it. The North came to Riverland's aid, but it wasn't enough. The Crown couldn't do anything either, as sending help would weaken the Crownlands and Stormlands.
Dorne and Westerlands were seemingly in a partnership. Meanwhile, the Reach had refused to involve itself with the Crown anymore. However, House Tyrell did release the word that Margaery was pregnant.
It was now clear what the Tyrells were plotting. In a few more months, Margaery would give birth. If it were to be a boy, House Tyrell would join the likes of Tywin to take the throne for themselves.
Even for a bastard, as long as House Tyrell stood in support, anything was possible.
All that piled up and made nights sleepless for Stannis Baratheon, the Hand of the King and the current ruler of the Seven Kingdoms… almost.
"A waste of words." Stannis set the missive aside, his jaw tight. He looked to Melisandre. "He lives. But he will not return yet."
Melisandre studied the parchment, her red eyes flickering like embers. She nodded. "It is as I have foreseen. King Robert moves against the last of House Targaryen, fearing the dragon’s return. He writes that they are real, three dragons. Fire, once kindled, is not so easily extinguished."
"And when he returns, what will remain? No Baratheon throne, no seat to claim. They scheme already—who shall rule, who shall serve the small council. Tywin will see the Crown in his grasp, and whichever puppet they raise up will set his son free from his sworn Night's Watch oath." Stannis rumbled annoyedly, his fist white, clenched on the table. "King's Landing stands isolated."
"Then we must be ready," Melisandre said. "The siege will come, as surely as the night. But while you stand, the throne remains Baratheon’s by right—and by fire."
Sighing, Stannis nodded. There was nothing else they could do.
"At least we have some coins to spare now. But I shall try and reassure the Tyrells one last time."

"Why the urgent request, Lord Tywin?" Olenna asked as she relaxed in the chair.
Tywin’s gaze was cold and unwavering. “You understand well enough, my lady. Let us not waste time with pretense. Even if Lady Margaery bears a son, the Crown won't exchange hands so easily.”
Olenna let out a dry chuckle, her lips curling in wry amusement. "Is that so? And pray tell, how exactly do you suggest I go about that?"
"You will not stand alone. If Lady Margaery bears a son, the Lannisters will stand with you. As for Dorne, they can be made to see reason," Tywin said.
"If? What if it's not a boy?"
"Then we take the next best course. Gendry, Robert’s eldest bastard, will claim the crown. Lady Margaery will be his Queen."
"And I suppose this generosity isn't without a price?"
"The crown will settle its debts to House Lannister in full. My son is to be pardoned, and a royal decree shall command his return to his rightful, noble station," Tywin clearly stated. His request was extremely reasonable and, in truth, far less rewarding than what the Tyrells would get in return. "Of course, dealing with Stannis and taking King's Landing comes first."
"Of course," Olenna responded and crossed her arms. She gazed at the surrounding trees, the beautiful Red Lake visible in the distance.
Supporting Tywin was a great risk. If Robert ends up being alive and returns in the future, it'd put the new King in question. Or worse, Robert could simply reclaim the throne no matter if it be Margaery's son or the other bastard. Meanwhile, House Tyrell would be proclaimed a traitor to the Crown.
Well aware of Robert's fury, she had no desire to be on the receiving end. Even less so when the man seemed to be in a better state now than in his prime days.
"If… House Tyrell were to lend you our support, we’d require certain assurances. If you can neutralize the North, tame the Riverlands, and bring the Vale to our cause, I see no possibility of our loss. Our combined strength would make short work of the rest… all purely theoretical, of course."
Tywin fell silent now. Not because her request was unreasonable, but because of the time it'd take to fulfill all those. He'd left the North alone until now.
"Very well." He stood up. "I'll see to it."
"I expect nothing less."

It was a risky strategy, but the Unsullied had trekked around Yunkai without being spotted to take Astapor. The end goal was to surround Yunkai in the final battle as Meereen would deploy another thousand Unsullied.
With that, Yunkai would be surrounded.
But for now, Robert bashed the skulls and chests of Astapor's soldiers. Yet again, he faced no hurdles, no challenges. The rare few arrows struck him, but they didn't even pierce his bones. He did bleed and receive wounds, but they were all on the surface.
"Oi, grab every silk-wearin’, silver-spoon-fed bastard ye can find!" Robert bellowed at the Unsullied. "Clamp some irons on ‘em—we’re draggin’ ‘em back to Meereen!"
The city of Astapor fell apart faster than a haystack. The Unsullied poured in and killed whatever opposed them. Robert only made sure they didn't get attacked by a large number of soldiers at once.
If there was any large gathering of enemies, he splintered them apart with his fantastic club.
As he'd promised, Robert finished taking over the city within three hours. By its end, he had Missandei join him on a merchant ship headed to Yunkai for safety.
It was timing that counted the most. He had to reach Yunkai around the same time as the word of Astapor's fall reached there.

By the time the day came to an end, he sat in a tall, stepped pyramid. It used to be the city's wise master's place. Now, it was littered with dead bodies and currently being cleaned by Unsullied men.
Sitting alone at a table with some food in front of him, Robert waited for Missandei to reach him so he could plan the next step.

It was already night, so Robert couldn't leave for Meereen right away.

The next day, a major portion of the Unsullied army marched out of Yunkai with two long rows of handcuffed men, all chained together in a line. Robert rode a horse alongside Missandei. But it took them almost three days to reach Meereen due to the slow pace of marching soldiers and the prisoners. Thankfully, he found no lack of comfort with tents erected for him at every stop. And also, occasional attention from Missandei’s soft lips.
"What's goin’ on here?" Robert noticed something different as he rode into Meereen. "The city feels different. Where'd all the noble prancers bugger off to?"
Missandei looked equally confused. Normally, the streets were filled with men dressed in varying colors. Now, most men wore simpler clothes. Also, there were fewer people in general.
Nonetheless, Robert entered the Great Pyramid and found Ser Jorah waiting for him at the base. With a deep frown on his face, the ex-slaver Knight of Westeros didn't seem very pleased to see him.
"Khaleesi wishes to see you right away." Ser Jorah stated and led the way up the massive pyramid.
"What happened here? The city looks empty." Missandei asked as she kept pace beside Robert.
Ser Jorah grunted first. "A great deal has happened. The nobles sought to reclaim the city, and many good men paid the price. Daario fell in an ambush. The Queen has dealt with most of the surviving nobles—those who remain are being hunted as we speak."
That's it? That's her wisdom? Robert frowned in silence. He knew the nobles would rebel as soon as Daenerys decided to randomly crucify the nobles out of spite. What happened now was a mere reaction.
"So the Queen's going to gut every last noble, eh?" He asked.
"Aye, that's her plan. In her own words, you can't build a new house atop an old one. The old one must be demolished to the very foundation first." Ser Jorah answered and led them through the final turn, ushering them all into Daenerys' throne room.
Robert looked up at the stepped platform where Daenerys stood alone. Her lips held a bright smile, her garb now less colorful, colder and more serious, less revealing. Something had changed in her. It was visible.
He formed a smile on his lips, too.
"The Slaver's Bay is yours." Robert declared as he walked up the stairs to reach her, face to face on the same level. Well, perhaps not face to face as he towered over her. “Got all them noble sorts rounded up and brought over.”
Daenerys stared at his face for a short while, constantly smiling as if he were her lover. She then walked around him and hugged Missandei.
"Ser Jorah," Daenerys addressed. "Have the prisoners locked. I gave them their chance, and they chose pride over change. I will not waste the lives of my men on stubborn fools who would rather cling to their chains than break them."
"There are five hundred of them, Your Grace. Are we to feed them? It will drain our stores." Ser Jorah asked.
"Aye, lop their bleedin’ heads off an’ be done with it," Robert suggested, just to see Daenerys' reaction.
The Mother of Dragons shook her head. "No need to feed them too much. But rather, they shall be feeling someone. Rhaegal and Viserion require a constant supply of cattle, it's better to utilize… alternatives."
What? Robert hid his expressions well, but his mind was in turmoil. Even though he considered himself ruthless, he never bothered to torture men. He gave swift death to his enemies. Feeding them to dragons was foolish. It would likely make the dragons addicted to human flesh.

Robert said nothing. He silently evaluated Daenerys and her mental state.
