One year ago… (Carrot Month, Sketchfolio #6, and Twitter)

One year (and a few weeks) was the start of Carrot Month. And it’s thanks to that month that I was sent on the path of game design and exploring a bunch of other artistic interests!
· Because of that month I’ve got a little thriving Discord Community set up for my patreons.
· Because of that month I’ve pursued youtube content.
· Because of that month I’ve made a small game, which has paved the way for my current endeavor, The Forest of Love.
· Because of that month, I’ve dived into merchandising and figured out the ins and outs of that process.
AND PROBABLY MORE STUFF that I’m forgetting! But I’m SUPER happy with all the content and progress I’ve made over this last year. I’m super grateful for the opportunity provided by all of you, and I’m very glad I was introspective enough to realize that I needed to make a leap.
THOUGH we’re a couple weeks into August, I’d like to make the month of august a little annual sorta “Celebration”! A month to encourage and give a reason to just GO FOR IT. Whatever it is you’ve been putting off, it’s time to buckle down and just hop to it!
I’ll deem the celebration, Carrot Month! A month dedicated to your personal growth and finally pursuing something you’ve been meaning to.
I’m doing 2 things for Carrot Month this month.
1) Working on anatomical muscle group studies! Particularly the arms/legs/back muscle groupings! I’ve put this off for years, and it’s finally time I bite the bullet and give muscles the proper study they deserve.
2) I’m going to finally make a huge push to pay off one of my big student loans. By the end of the year I’d like to pay off the total of $5,831.76. Of course I still have other loans, but having this off my plate would be nice. Over the past several years, I’ve pecked it down from 13k, so this smaller number feels much more achievable to kill off.
I’ve already been pursuing the 1st one, but for the 2nd – I’m going to start with another Sketchfolio Release! This one’s a BIT different, in that, it’s not super focused on unfinished sketches, but instead, finished work I have yet to post. BUT, since I don’t plan on becoming a paywall (and also since I’ve been a shit-ass with posting recently) – I will be also releasing A FLOOD today of smut. Expect around 10-15 images. Sorry not sorry.
New Sketchfolio!
Regarding the “Sketchfolio” – As always it’ll be 2$ Minimum PWYW! The suggested value will be 5$. All the funds to this folio will go DIRECTLY toward my student loans, and I will be updating the progress as times goes on. I know I won’t make 6k~ from this folio alone, but it’ll be cool to see how much you guys take a dent out of that!
I will also include a TIERED RAFFLE with this sketchfolio purchase. Here is how it’ll break down.There will be 3 Prizes that will be raffled off.
- The 5$ Tier – which will receive a 1 character sketch of their choice.
- The 10$ Tier – which will receive a 2 character sketch of their choice.
- And a 20$ Tier – which will receive a 2 character colored image of their choice.
- The amount you pay will automatically enter you to these raffles. If you buy the sketchfolio for <5$ you WILL NOT qualify for the raffle.
- You will be eligible for EACH raffle if you’ve qualified for it. (paying 20$ gets you into the color raffle, and also the 5$ and 10$ raffles)
- I doubt this will happen, but you can win more than one raffle. IF this happens, I’ll probably re-raffle and just increase the amount of prizes. I’m willing to take those chances =)
- Raffle will end on the 31st of August. The sketchfolios will still be available for purchase.
- RAFFLE WINNERS WILL BE CONTACTED VIA THEIR EMAIL. E-junkie sends the content to an email address that you provide. So I will be using that to contact you if you’re the winner. I will not be posting the information publicly for obvious reasons! IF winners do not respond within 3 days, I will raffle again.

Twitter Plug
Though I’m still not 100% sure I will migrate to Twitter, I figure it’s a good idea to let people know where else they can find me. I may start to post on twitter simply because it’s an easy format to post-and-forget. Not necessary to tag or title or blah blah. SO we’ll see. For now you can follow here. When I pursue this more, I will do a sketchraffle promo to get the word out faster.

I popped you a little note on FA about my Carrot Month plans. Hopefully I can actually for real start on learning drawing/painting and maybe 3d modelling for once after I move.

LOL totally understandable. And naw, it’s more of a “this is for all the folks who ditched furry sites” sorta thing. Besides it’s kinda in the future, I’m just laying some of the ground works to making a twitter now
