🕑 Added 2021-09-02 16:32:49 +0000 UTCI’m taking the raccoon to a rehab that’s way bigger in austin so he can be with litter mates—he’s already gained 100 grams, is completely dewormed and deflead! I have a vidya for y’all on that but I’m gonna make a video for the main channel where we “trap” him here and get permission from the game warden to transport him. (You need special permits even to transport rabies vector species like raccoons) she gave us permission so now lil homie will grow up with a bunch of friends and not be as bonded to me! But for legal purposes I have to “trap” him again to film lol wanted to tell y’all now so u know what’s up!
Love u all, pretty soon we’ll be getting dozens of these guys in the spring as well 😳

DOCTOR PROFESSOR UNCLE BEN I HAVE A QUESTION. You mentioned that the lifespan of a raccoon is just a couple years but is that only wild ones? I've read online that they can live for over a decade in captivity. And no. I'm not thinking about getting one, haha.

I’m good w em and I try to stay good w em that’s why I’m doing this—if I “trap” him at my house and say the same story then it’s totally fine—but with RVS (even babies) you need to call to get permission to transport

Crazy how many dumb hoops you have to jump through to follow random regulations, but seems like you’re good with the game warden so that probably makes it a bit easier.
