Technically these X-Men movies aren't Marvel. It's a Marvel property, but Marvel didn't actually have any input on these films, they sold the rights to many of their characters (for movie purposes) back when they were just doing comics and the company was having financial problems. They reacquired the rights shortly before what is currently the last X-Men movie was released. The only X-Men stuff Marvel had actually had a say on as far as movies go is the stuff that's been in the MCU, which started happening around the time WandaVision came out.

Good news and bad news. I was nearing the end of one of my patented interminable "reaction to the reaction" comments when I was graced with a power failure, wiping it all out. Bad news: you will not get to spend several hours deciphering my oh-so-valuable insights. Good news: see the bad news.
