I absolutely love this show. The ideas being brought up are not entirely absurd. Light travels both as a wave and a particle. When a it's a wave it takes every possible path, some canceling out and some where it's travels back in time. But we can also collapse it's wave function making it choose a definite path by measuring it on its path to its final destination however altering it by interaction. Science is not our observation of nature, rather its the nature of our observations. Our model of physics is just information about nature that we've gathered not nature itself. The question of free will is a badly posed one, especially in the face of an infinite multiverse of possibilities. In music if you play a note and then it's 5th and the original note stops you will still hear the combination note because the wave is still entwined through time with its 5th.
