If i can i suggest you some anime that i think you will like and that there are similar that your style of mecha design. There are : Madox 01 (1oav), MD Geast (2oav), Dangaioh (3oav), D-1 Devastator (2oav) and the movie Venus War. You can tape the title and simply watch in internet anime site.
