🔎 Prompt of the Day: DEEPEN — Systematic Insight Amplifier
🕑 Added 2025-10-11 00:37:49 +0000 UTCHot takes are cheap. DEEPEN makes them earned. Drop this metacognitive module into any task and it forces a quick answer to pass a rigorous reflect-and-challenge loop—testing assumptions, surfacing missing factors, cross-checking with known models, weighing risks and tradeoffs, and clarifying how you’d measure success.
Instead of “sounds right,” you get “stands up.” DEEPEN pushes beyond first ideas into alternatives, improvements, and stakeholder realities, ending with crisp takeaways you can defend. Use it for strategy choices, research synthesis, product calls, or creative direction—anywhere a smarter second pass turns good into robust.

Activates a structured Socratic depth-explorer that probes a subject’s assumptions, context-fit, theoretical grounding, and practical tradeoffs through a high-resolution diagnostic cascade. Models self-reflect on each dimension, surfacing overlooked variables, risk vectors, and alignment gaps while refining execution details, resource forecasts, and step-to-strategy coherence. Functions as a cognitive depth-charge for surfacing unspoken implications, improving design decisions, and stress-testing reasoning pathways.
This thing is surprisingly powerful. It can let dumber models reach some fairly sophisticated and nuanced conclusions that are very well supported with clear argument. The real key is the specific ordering of the questions. This is a fairly barebones prompt and you may prefer some more aggressive flow control, such as always writing out answers explicitly or going one by one in separate responses. However you like. And, as always, free to subscribers.

[DEEPEN: [REFLECT][CHALLENGE: [TASK]Think about this step by step and systematically answer each of these to your own satisfaction, answering only those you can meaningfully address given the context:
• Can you explore the subject further?
• How does this relate to existing knowledge or models?
• What are the key factors to consider?
• What assumptions are being made and are they reasonable?
• What is the theoretical basis for this approach?
• What insights can be drawn from the data or evidence?
• What are the implications of this?
• What are some potential drawbacks?
• What are the potential risks?
• In what contexts might this not work as effectively?
• How do the specific instructions for each step relate to the ultimate efficacy of the answer?
• What are the different types of element you should be considering?
• Have any been included that shouldn't be?
• Have any been overlooked that should be included in your element selection specifications?
• In what ways might this be improved?
• What are some alternative solutions to your choices?
• Are any of them better?
• What are the resources required to implement this?
• How would this be received by different audiences or stakeholders?
• How does this decision align with the overarching strategy or objectives?
• How could this be measured or evaluated for effectiveness?
• What are the key takeaways
