Ok, so Rarity and Twilight didn't use magic to help Spike because they didn't wanna do anything to disrupt the dragon customs. Notice they used magic to follow him. Ember is absolutely amazing! She is one of my favorite characters. This is my favorite Spike episode so far. Season 6 episode 16 is my favorite Spike episode. It beats this one by the tiniest of margins. The writers heard the fans saying that Spike episodes are the weakest and they give us this one. Just wait. There's more!
