January week one, status report.
🕑 Added 2019-01-08 22:54:43 +0000 UTCThe thing I've been working on for most of the week was finalizing my facial rig with the new animation blend shape based animation system. I felt like facial expressions were seriously lacking and fixing this was very important to me.
There will be two things happening this week, first I will open a twitter account where I will post random images and videos I produce while working on the game. I do often end up at the end of the day with some videos and images similar to the video at the top of this post. I just want to post them without much comment or anything, I don't want to spend a lot of time with it but I still want to share that kind of stuff.
The other thing will be the new demo (Yes, I mean it). It has been pushed back again and again, about which I'm very sorry, because of this I have decided to publish the demo for now with what I call "free roam" mode. There won't be any main story elements in this game mode. It is essentially a development mode where you can walk around and interact with characters, test the gameplay and explore the world (Luna Plena Academy and the surrounding island) at your own pace (There will be minor quest lines etc. added to this mode but it won't feature the main story).
With this "free roam" mode I will be able to get feedback from you while I keep working on the story mode and I can test out new features there without necessarily having them fully integrated in the game.
Once the demo is out I will also be able to hold a few polls on how I should develop the game further.
