No problem! Just bringing it to your attention :)

Thanks for the comment mate. Apologies, it seems Baseball Monster has stopped uploading their daily lineups to their website. As a result, the Power Query in the spreadsheet is pulling in nothing. To fix this, Iβll look into whether other websites are useful. If not, then for the last month of the season, lineups may have to be entered manually. Iβm looking to come up with a solution in the next couple of days π Sorry for the inconvenience.

Happening for me, too.

I've been using this model for some time now with about 60% accuracy, which is great! The issue today is that it is no longer pulling the games, as we are not in the playoffs. Is there a way to modify the query? "This Web query returned no data. To change the query, click OK, click the arrow on the name box in the formula bar, click the name of the external data range for the Web query, right-click the selection, and then click Edit Query."

When I change the Pitcher confidence value even as much as 45% I don't see the xRuns change.

Hey mate! Is there a way to increase the number of simulations? I'd like to up it to 10k but would that just totally brick the spread sheet?
Shawn Collins
simulated box score doesnt make sense to me when i refresh it? what are the numbers in each inning, because the run totals in the box score do not add up to the total score of the game below?

Hey can you update this spreadsheet to 2024 data because itβs giving me ERAs for pitching from 2023 NΓ©stor cortes for Yankees is giving NA played 20 games which is not accurate

Hi lad, do you know what version of Excel you have? Right now, the file uses array functions such as XLOOKUP and LET, which are only available to Excel 2019 users and later. Versions of Excel 2016 and prior do not recognise these functions, and may return a #NAME? error. Let me know if you need anymore help lad π

All done now mate, if you re-download the file the issue shouldn't happen again. I actually performed an XLOOKUP function with multiple criteria to return the starts, ERA and FIP for the starting pitcher. This made it easy to filter out all other pitchers (with the same name) on other teams.

Hello, it's working now; it was my mistake; I didn't modify the global settings for the dot instead of the coma. Thank you for your help and for your valuable content (videos and models), that help learning.

No worries πͺ That's hilarious, what are the chances! I'll add in an extra criteria in the FILTER function for that cell, so the player returned is also filtered by the team selected. This will return the correct Logan Allen. To do this, I'll equate the team names in the dropdown list of the "Dashboard" worksheet and the 3 letter team codes in the "Player Pitching Data" worksheet. By making a table of these names, I can use an XLOOKUP function to match the long team name to the abbreviation, and filter out the wrong Logan Allen. I'll let you know when this change is up and running lad π For now, you can either write over the top of the formula with a manual FIP value for the proper Logan, or just change the pitcher confidence to 0% and it won't take into account the pitcher's stats.

Hi lad, that's unusual π€ If you keep having this problem, please send me a screenshot through Discord so we can work out the issue. Make sure that you have a version of Excel that is Excel 2019 or newer, and you have decimal places as a "." instead of a "," π Don't hesitate to ask for more help lad!

thanks mate! found a funny glitch of sorts today. for todays Cleveland game Logan Allen is starting but the sheet is loading stats for Logan Allen who pitches for Arizona. Is there a way to fix the model loading up the wrong duplicate name?

Hello, thanks for the updates. I ran into a problem. On the pitchers model, I did refresh all on data. I enter teams to play to day, it's the right pithers name, but on the cells O1 and O3, there is no value, '#VALUE', withe a warning box : "A value used in the formula is of the wrong data type". And it do the same in other cells depending on this ones.
