Let it be known when Hinata said "ok, ill get a bit more serious for this last attack" she was not joking, this whole fight she wasn't even trying. That last attack was her simply giving a bit more effort. Hinata was originally introduced to us by Yuki speaking of her and how she was a student of Shizu's. He also spoke about how she in just 1 year at the age of 15 gained power surpassing Shizu. Rimuru himself hardly knew how powerful Shizu herself was so at the time he didn't know what that would scale Hinata to, so he just brushed it off.
