I like to think that the smoke 'aura' was due to him walking through a wisteria barrier. His regenerative abilities are so great, that it wasn't even causing him any harm and you couldn't even see any physical damage. Notice how the smoke stops once he finishes crossing over the pond bridge.

Btw, in the manga it's clarified that Sayo never meant to accuse Gyomei. She was trying to explain that a demon attacked, but she was too little and didn't have the words. Gyomei and the police jumped to conclusions. I was hoping that part would be the Taisho secret, but they left it out.

i love to how they show us children, and Kaigaku(this zenitsu old friend) in manga we saw only foreshadows, but in story on offpage it was said it is Actually Kaigaku! Damn 3 movies as ending... this is a bit disappointment, we have to wait around 5 y to watch it all, and now we will get peak of fights! Cliffhangers lvl over 9000 on the way. i can't wait to see Ypu reaction at next episode :D

From what i remember in the manga sayo says something like "the monster killed them all" and without the body of a demon the Police thought that gyomei was the "monster" she was talking about still super sad what happened to my boy gyomei thank god kagaya was there🙏
