Making Bromine without distillation? Patreon exclusive
🕑 Added 2024-09-18 07:29:43 +0000 UTCHello everyone! I've been working hard to make a procedure for making bromine that doesn't require distillation. My goal is to make 1L of Bromine all in one go in bulk, but it seems a bit more difficult than I first thought, and almost had Bromine explode all over me. Luckily it only got on my gloves.

I'm perfectly fine lol. Haven't noticed anything different about my breathing

I would like to know your lungs current state because imagine how much you breathed in
Mr Green
That's a really good take, thanks!

For me, definitely. At least for my self confidence it's relly helpfull. If all the mishaps are not managed and "just happens" it is really stimulating to see that others suffer the same while "doing something". And.. you present yourself more like a real human, not just the "perfect chemist", as Nile sometimes seems to be in his videos.

Lol nice joke, I should use it sometime XD

Bro that 3:15-3:45 segment is TRAGIC 😭

Okay update, I tried again but with a properly cooled ice-bath and better removal of butane, and got a 53% yield. Not great, but not as terrible. I'm getting there
Mr Green
Lol I can try to make it look like brownies!
Mr Green
Am glad to hear :)

Why that bromine has to be so mean, bro?

I found this interesting, I like seeing behind-the-scenes footage like that.

I kept reading “making brownies…” 😂 This is not a cooking channel is it. Or… maybe it is. In a way. A toxic way. ☺️

I find it interesting! But im not a great example of a normal person haha.

I'm planning to make a second channel that shows this kind of behind the scenes process that happens before I make some of my videos without all the editing and fast pace. What do you think? Is this style interesting?
