We going underground for these experiments!
🕑 Added 2024-09-01 12:22:39 +0000 UTCHello Everyone! So I recently went underground in an abandoned Adit, looking for natural asbestos to do experiments with (Hence the suit and mask).
We only found salt crystals, but it still looks really cool and freaky how it comes out of the walls. Would any of you be interested in seeing some of these crystals being turned into something like sulfuric acid? I think it's more interesting than simply buying chemicals from the hardware store, and has a funny side-story of suiting up with extensive protective gear just to find out it's salt lol

And as we all know from NileRed, Epson Salts contains a lot of water?

They're a rare type of Epsomite fibres that grow on limestone in caves. It's when salts are squeezed out of the pores of rocks and solidify when hitting dry air, causing them to very slowly grow over time in this fibrous and silky appearance. I've tested it, and it dissolves in water very easily. so it's definitely not asbestos

What are they crystal of thou? Because those crystals looks a lot like asbestos fibres.

Haha ja maybe you could do that. It is used in manufacturing of explosives, but I bet you don't want to go down that rabbit hole XD doesn't look that good in the search history

Ah yeah, that's one way to think of it. I just don't normally consider sulfuric acid to be that dangerous haha. It's also used for all kinds of reactions, so I could probably go further with it and do something even crazier
