Got new equipment for projects!
🕑 Added 2023-10-25 13:14:57 +0000 UTCHello everyone, as I've been working on different projects for upcoming videos, they've required getting more equipment to get them to work. These are some of the new things that will be seen in videos thanks to all your help and support on this platform:
- A 10 gal pressure pot for casting resin lenses or other interesting experiments
- An electric furnace for distilling alkali metals. Might be used to smelt lepidolite ore to produce lithium metal and making a battery from it. Or making Cesium from it's ore pollucite. I also want to demonstrate and compare 5 alkali metals, and due to costs of Cesium and rubidium, I would likely need to make some extra. There's a lot of uses for a furnace
- 2 different 3M dust masks (one full face and one half face) with P100 organic vapour/acid gas cartridges so I can be safer.
-Dimethyl formamide solvent for making perfluorocarbons (the inert liquid you can breath)
- There's more smaller items I've been working on, but these I think are the most interesting at the moment. Thanks for your support!
