exactly and I can say, molten metal doesn't take long to leave damdge on the skin.

I think the danger comes from how calm it seems to be, especially because it's not toxic, but people forget how hot it is

I actually made bismuth crystals for a friend of mine for his birthday and hurt myself this way. I was wearing gloves and googles but a piece managed to find a way between my long sleeve and glove and I have a scar to this day (it was 4 months ago XD )
