621's PS1 AirBnB
🕑 Added 2025-06-09 08:03:09 +0000 UTCAs we head further into churning out alpha assets one location has come up again and again, and that's 621's cabin, lovingly referred to as 'The Doghouse'. This location very much likely exists in lore, but despite pouring over every resource I have, there is no visual information about it, so I'll have to make one myself.
The player spends a lot of time in this place, so I opted to make a 3D mockup model to stay consistent when drawing it from multiple vantage points and for different scenarios. I'm not a very strong 3D artist, but since I'll be using it as a reference, and as long as it looks consistent with Armored Core's world at the end of the process, then I'll be content.
From Chapter 002 - The Doghouse
"The size of the room masked how bare it was."
"A bed, a blanket, a pillow, a bench, a desk, a foot locker, a suit hanger, what looked to be some odds and ends strewn about, and what appeared to be a heater."
"For as warm as the lighting glowed, the room was unfavorably cold, with an occasional uninvited draft."
"I toggled what must have been the control for the heater but regrettably, nothing changed."
"One agreeable feature was a dusty window view of my AC in the garage. At least it was something interesting to look at."
"All the furniture was fastened down, which made sense considering the vehicle."
"The helmet dock hastily drilled into the wall looked to be much newer than everything else. Perhaps Walter had been forced to accommodate me."
"...Which was unnerving. He didn't seem like the accommodating type."
