Update: Let's talk about Ruby
🕑 Added 2023-11-09 21:42:36 +0000 UTCHey hey hey! Let's have a little chit chat. First of all, thank you all for the continued support through these slow months I've been having. It's already November, this year is going by too fast!
Amazing news for you all though! I just finished up the last bit of line art for the Ruby animation! There is of course cleanup to do on it, but coloring on it will start very soon! I'm very close to finishing this project!
Line art is usually the longest part of my animation process, so coloring and shading should go a lot faster.
Regarding the animation as a whole though, I'm going to get real for a minute. This animation will not be my magnum opus. There's still a lot about it that I'm not happy with (though I'm never 100% happy with my art). For how long it's taken, one of my main driving forces to finish it is well... to finish it. I genuinely want it to be done and over with so I can move on to better stuff. That break I took from Ruby earlier this year where I did the Toga and Komi animations was a breath of fresh air, and I'm really excited to do more stuff like it. That doesn't mean I'll be cutting corners though. I actually just added another loop that I didn't plan on having because the animation felt lacking in one spot. Otherwise I would have finished the line art a few days ago.
I'll be continuing with the Ruby animation until it's finished. I don't know what the next WIP on it will be though, I'll figure that out later.
Again, thank you all for the support!

Awesome! All the previews we've seen have been amazing so I'm sure the final version will be great too. Don't beat yourself up because trust me, we've all been looking forward to it! :)
