I think that the above the trees line in Happiness is her being able to see the relationship from afar. Like she can see both sides of the relationship because she is removed from it.

I feel like Tolerate it is one of her most heartbreaking songs. Just the fact that the person is doing everything for this person and they don't even seen to care and the way she does it on the ERA's tour is so sad too.
