Coming to this ep late, but there are absolutely agencies in the UK that handle telemarketing for charities! I worked a summer job in a call centre where we chased numbers for multiple different charities, each with their own script. We weren't allowed to hang up first and got told off if we gave up on the sale, which is why telemarketers will always keep pressing you until you hang up
