So first off, I love it! So glad you decided to post it. Also while I agree the two Pokémon require a pretty big suspension of disbelief, it’s at least not impossible. Especially since Oak would have a lot of high level connections due to who he is. I do wonder who you had Oak’s wife and Gary’s grandmother be given it’s clearly not Griselda, given she doesn’t seem to know a damn thing about Gary and they haven’t seen each other in 31+ years. Mostly just curious if it’s some OC who passed away or Agatha. I love the Pidgey. Pidgeot doesn’t get enough love.

This is a great start i like the idea of other color Pokémon aside shiny. The egg is a nice touch only those who knows gen 3 and what Steven has knows what Pokémon it is

I don't really like the idea of fake Pokemon simply because of how many Pokemon there already is. If you can't work with what's already out there to get what you want out of a story that's on you. At least in my opinion. Might of been different in the first 2 or 3 gens but not now.
