I don't know if you're aware, but in the game Black Myth: Wukong, there's an NPC named Fourth Sister, who is a spider spirit. I think she perfectly matches the basic character design, and we could create a model based on her.

They're the side ribcage (serratus anterior) muscles... although the harness does sort of disguise them a bit. The arms are simply what they are - they're actually slightly larger/thicker than the OG model's arms. Hoyo just likes skinny chicks man.
