This is one of those moments where I genuinely wonder how much of the story-arcs are written/outlined ahead, and how much Drew and Andrea are flying by the seat of their pants. Because in a way I feel like Ruby is written into a corner right now. She has this really great job opportunity that she totally should take, but she's an incredibly popular character so if she were to pursue the other job, how would the fans still get Ruby content? Obviously there is the option if she actually does start dating Nicole, but we'd lose the BOH dynamic of Ruby with the other chefs/cooks. There are SO many avenues this can go down and I am really curious how it's going to go. (Obviously turning down a job because of a crush would be stupid, so there's no way a smart lez like her would do that. Right?).
