WSC 1983 Update - 01
🕑 Added 2023-04-13 19:47:49 +0000 UTCok so to keep you all posted:
Cars: I'm going to rework all GTsupremes 80s Group C converted cars. The physics etc are fine but the cars have the wrong steering wheels (important for VR/1st person), no mapping and wrong wheels. Also some skins are missing and the lights dont work and various other small issues. I've started on one of the 956's and will do the Lancia LC2 next.
Porsche 956 WEC: Have replaced the steering wheel to the correct one. Done full AO mapping outside. Fixed lights ini so headlights now work. Fixed rim texture and shaders. Done a lot. Dont want to go too far as if the file size gets too big the performance will drop and the grids will be big here.
Tracks:
WSC Monza: Not much has happened here. If anyone can link me to reference images or onboard video that would be amazing. I think the track just needs textures and a few tree placements really.
WSC Silverstone: Pits now at 50. I may try to fit a few more in but the pit box space is pretty packed. Just needs a skin and a few shader changes.
WSC Nurburgring: I have removed most of the modern vehicles. Provisionally placed all pit boxes which is now at 54 and removed the petrol pump from new pit space. Removed grafitti from track surface and will need a lot of work on the trees. This will probably be the last released as it needs the most work due to its size. I will need to remove all the modern buildings too. If anyone can help with reference images or info please let me know. I will send the track over so we can get it as accurate as possible.
24 Hours of Le Mans: 1982 version doesn't need any edits unless anyone can confirm any revisions for 1983.
WSC Spa: Lots of work on this one. moved pit box area and pit entry point. Blocked off old pit entry. Moved start lights and pit light. Began dismantling the tall building above the new pitb area. Added/removed tons of trees. End of the long straight is now a lot more open. Towards the end of the track the fast sweeping turn run offs have been removed and barriers placed. Loads of other little changes made, still loads more to do.
WSC Fuji: Been speaking to Shin who originally converted the track. Issue with floating cars in pitbox fixed. Have moved the pitbox back as per the real circuit and also to fit all the cars in. The pit area is pretty long here so no issue fitting cars as this was towards the end of the season I will work on it later. Ignore the floating cars. was testing to see where the new pitboxes should go. You can see ive moved the pitboxes and tower back. You can also see how the old pitbox positions were way to close to the pit lane drive through.
WSC Kyalami: Based on the 67 version which is actually the 1976 version. Havent touched this yet as it was last race of the season. From a quick look it needs a lot of shader fixes and the pit area seems tiny so the boxes may have to be double stacked. The pit buildings need moving back a bit. Ignore the floating cars was just a quick test to see how many cars I could fit. 68 a bit too much heheh

If you want to create additional skins for GTSupreme's cars, generate a skin map from its AO.
