Range Rover Classic 3.9 EFI V8 - Update
🕑 Added 2022-03-09 11:33:30 +0000 UTCSo probably the most important improvement I could make, especially for those driving in 1st person or VR.....the steering wheel has been remodeled.

I then set about replacing the mud flaps for some more realistic ones. Please ignore the rear axel, this will be updated.

Next was the carpet texture. I placed a temporary one that was ok but kind of looked like wet sand up close.

Next was updating the stereo etc and front door cards for some HD textures. This stuff can be fiddly due to mapping and just finding HQ images at the right angle. Photoshop to the rescue!

Still a lot of work to go. I'm going to try and model as many of the internal dash pieces in 3d as I can, so ropy items like PS1 looking gearstick will be gone.
The main issue I need to address is the seats, they look awful. Surprisingly in-game they aren't so bad but still.....

Excellent. FBX with the ini for the textures would be best if that's possible.

Great! I can capture it in the next day or so and create an FBX and/or OBJ for you. I might do two versions using different programs, and you can choose which one is best for your purposes. One of the apps can do OBJ and USDZ while the other does OBJ, FBX, and some others. What's best for you?

Hi Mate, cheers for the support. What a great meet you had there, lovely sun too! Ive never used photogrammetry before but if it produces a format I can convert into fbx, obj etc im sure it would be a great help. The seats seems to be the main issue. Any help is always appreciated. I'm going to start scaling in a few days as you can probably tell the length is way off, its longer than an LWB/LSE currently despite being the standard model.

I just helped film this over the weekend: https://www.instagram.com/p/Ca2d_TSp3mE/ On that note, the organizer of that event also owns a RRC (big surprise) and I'm sure he would let me take some interior pictures for you, or even better I could do photogrammetry to capture the interior in 3D (as much as possible, anyway - the reflective bits will make it tricky). Do you need anything like that from me?
