The funny thing about ads for alcohol is, correct me if I’m wrong, but they never actually show people drinking the product. They’ll hold it, and toast it, but never actually drink it.

Medicine ads are SO WEIRD. I remember seeing an ad for a medication that would make your eyelashes grow. Like…who cares? That’s why mascara is a thing? And then I had eye surgery and I was on like 6 eye drops and sure enough, that ONE EYE had tarantula eye lashes I was tripping over. It was hilarious. I realized that the company was literally monetizing a side effect.

Losing weight is not the answer to every health problem and skinny does not equate health! The myth of health=low weight is still so pervasive in the medical system. Ppl who are very overweight to obese have a very hard time getting real health problems treated bc doctors mistakenly/ignorantly focus on weight. I feel frustrated for you, I have no idea how you were able to get through the hospital while not losing your shit on staff😓 Hope your wife gets better soon!
