The religious right does not give a shit what happens to the nation and democracy, so shedding any semblance of morality and integrity and humanity means nothing. 2000 years of any day now will finally come to an end any day now and god will return and fix the climate, throw all the immigrants and Jews and Muslims and LTBTQ and their allies into Hell, because god loves his creation. All governments will no longer matter. Peace will reign, religious billionaires will take their place next to god's throne, and everyone left will sing praises to god and his billionaires forever ... forever ... forever ...
