Tale #161: What Goes Around

"O-oh no...Ughhh...It's about to...I can't..." The little boy groaned as he bent his back to clutch at his gurgling gut.
**FRRRRTTTT...SPLLRRT! PRRTT!**
Hot, runny poop flooded the back of the Goodnite in noisy bursts; the splattering was anything but subtle, and the backside of the garment began to swell and sag, while brown stains began to slowly appear in the weaker areas of the bedwetter pants. Bubbling toots didn't let up as he lowered his knees, more of the soft mush plopping wetly, helplessly, into the pull-up.
It was a disaster. Not just for his poor Goodnite, or for his wounded pride, but for his already strained dynamic with his babysitter. It was bad enough for him to be a bedwetter at his age, but now he was crapping his pants too? It was downright unacceptable to him! It was a humiliation that he couldn't stomach!
He'd already been irritated that he'd been made to 'get ready for bed' so early in the evening; he'd already felt the harsh heat of shame burn his face from strutting around the house with trainers under his pajamas. And now? Now he was going number two in his pants like a big baby!
"Jamie! Where did you go? I'm going to put on a movie for you guys!" Came a voice from the other room; it was the voice of Carrie, his babysitter for the weekend.
This wasn't supposed to happen to him. The only boy who was supposed to be dooking in their pants around here was his 'big' brother Paul! How was he supposed to act smugly superior to Paul, whenever he was doing the same gosh-darned thing? How could he make fun of the older boy, if Jamie himself was doing the same crud?
Another wet fart sputtered into the messy seat of the Goodnite, and its power percolated the poop already inside, while he could simultaneously feel more seeping out from his cheeks. He felt like he had no control over it, like his bowels had become as unruly as an infant's would be!
"I-I...O-one minute! I'll be right there!" He managed to shout back, his shaky response more of a meek squeak than a confident answer.
It felt like it must be bad karma, for how he'd acted earlier in the day. He'd been pretty mean to Paul at the park, and what better way for the universe to punish him? Unlike his older brother, Jamie didn't have a medical condition that he could point to as an excuse.
It'd all started earlier that day, after school had gotten out. Him and his siblings had already known that their parents would be gone for the weekend; they had left for their trip that morning, and they wouldn't be back until late Sunday night. Him, Paul, and Leah had gotten out of class at the same time, as they usually did, and it was Carrie who had come to pick them up.
Carrie had been their usual babysitter for some time now, since whenever she had still been in high school; now in college, she needed the extra income more than ever, so she hadn't batted an eye at sacrificing her weekend for a big payday.
Jamie and Carrie had never seen eye-to-eye, at least not in the same way that his siblings did. Jamie was the wild child, the rowdy brat that caused most of the trouble. At eight years old, the middle child, he caused as much chaos as the average toddler, and he needed just as much attention.
Leah was only six, and while she was a total pain in the butt for Jamie, she was a complete angel for their sitter. Paul was eleven, and in many ways he was the exact opposite of Jamie; Paul was quiet, respectful, and preferred a good book to running around the house with reckless abandon.
Unfortunately for Paul, the boy also suffered something called 'encopresis. Jamie wasn't savvy to the particulars of what that meant, but it meant at least that Paul was a pantspooper, and a pretty bad one at that. It'd been this way for several years now, with Paul typically going between pull-ups and diapers, but having not known underwear since shortly after pottytraining.
This was a tidbit that Jamie had not had the decency to be polite over, and it was because of this malady that Jamie considered himself to be the true 'big brother', even if his petite stature didn't reflect that version of reality. Size notwithstanding, the difference in their undergarments was enough for a bratty jerk like Jamie, and Paul was much too reserved to properly set the score.
By his own standard though, it was hypocritical of him to claim seniority among his siblings. If he were being honest with himself, then Leah would have ironically held that position; Jamie may wear underwear, but he left them stained in the typical way that a third grade boy might, and he had to wear Goodnites to sleep, due to his sporadic bedwetting. Leah did not have those same asterisks, and when pushed, she didn't hesitate to bring them up.
The incident at the park was probably where his current karma calamity had come from. Carrie had taken the three of them there after school, with the hope that they'd burn some of their energy off, as to make the evening more pliable. Truthfully, it was really only Jamie that she wished to drain, as the other two were far better behaved.
And it was effective, at least for a while. Jamie loved running across the playground and climbing onto whatever his grimy little hands could grasp; the park was a little more remote than some other options in the area, so they may not have had the whole thing to themselves, but they had few other kids to have to share it with.
Jamie played on the monkey bars, and the slides, and the swings, and everything in between. His little sister was more interested in playing some pretend game with some of the other younger kids, and Paul had spent most of his time at the bench, with a thick book in his hands. Eventually though, probably as a means to start winding Jamie down, Carrie had nudged the older boy to go play with him.
Begrudgingly, Paul had nodded his head and come to Jamie's side, though it was clear by his dour expression that he had no interest in wrangling the rugrat. Jamie was as bossy as ever with him too, pulling him at his wrist and demanding for him to acquiesce to whatever inane frivolities danced across his thoughts.
For a time, it could almost be said that Paul was actually letting himself have some fun; he was a little less coordinated on his feet, due to what hid beneath his shorts, but an eagerness did swell to push him past such limitations. He laughed, he smiled, he ran.
But then Paul ran into the same problems that had always plagued him, and Jamie was all too willing to capitalize on his misfortunes.
They'd been at the slide again, based on Jamie's demands, and Paul had started to climb the ladder. Jamie could see the waistband of his brother's pull-up poking out from his shorts, which incited a small giggle, but nothing more. What *was* more was the way that Paul had to stop his ascent halfway up.
The gassy plop was subtle, but the lump that formed across the taut fabric of his shorts was less so. It was something that Jamie had seen countless times before, but still it was a spectacle that he hadn't tired of; it was the all too familiar sight of his big brother messing his pants, and as usual, in a way that was completely involuntary.
"Haha, gross! Baby Paul did a big pee-yoo in his pants!"
"I-I did not! Shut up!"
The lame banter, if it could be called that, was the same as always. Paul would have an accident, and then Jamie would mock him mercilessly over it, while Paul made a stalwart denial of the accident even occurring. Jamie never grew tired of being petty and juvenile, and Paul never grew a thicker skin or learned to truly stand up for himself.
"Oh yeah? You just put a baseball down the back of your little baby pull-up?"
"I said to shut up! You don't know what you're talking about!"
As upset as Paul sounded, which was notable from the shakiness of his voice, it was his burning cheeks and dampened eyes that really told the story of how he felt. He was sensitive, especially over this matter in particular, and he wasn't very good at hiding it.
"Fine! If you didn't just do a dookie on yourself, then hurry up and go down the slide!"
Jamie wasn't particularly clever, but he was good at calling bluffs. He knew fully how much Paul despised making an even bigger mess in his trousers, and so it'd be a no-win scenario for the older boy. Paul could either sit down in his own poop and smear it by sliding down, or he could admit the infantile act that he'd committed.
To Jamie's surprise, the older boy had decided on the former, rather than the latter. Paul grumbled and continued his way up to the top of the slide, where he paused again, but ultimately sat down with what Jamie could only assume was a nasty squish. Then, without too much further deliberation, he jettisoned himself down the plastic slide.
Those shorts hid the damage of that decision, but Jamie could make an educated guess about how bad it must have felt to go through with it. Sliding in a poopy diaper, or a pull-up in this case, could only mean that the muck within got spread to every possible corner of the seat's interior. It must have been a sensory nightmare for Paul, who had always hated the feeling of a dirty rear.
If the bullying had ended there, then perhaps karma would have been a little more kind to Jamie, but the brat was incorrigible. He'd watched Paul awkwardly waddle away from the bottom of the slide, on a course toward the bench where their babysitter remained, and it seemed obvious that he was going to ask for them to leave, so that he could clean up in peace.
Jamie could have lived with that, if not for the fact that a friend from school had just arrived at the park with his older sister. Now that Jamie had a reason to want to stay longer, he wouldn't so easily let Paul's accident ruin his fun.
Within minutes of playing with his friend, he heard Carrie's voice beckoning for him to come pack it in. Frustrated and spiteful, Jamie stormed over with his little friend in tow; he would try to make a case to stay longer, since he found it so completely unfair that they had to schedule around Paul's poopy predicament. He whined, he pleaded, he fussed, and Carrie wasn't having any of it.
So forth came the nuclear option. Jamie already knew he was defeated, but he could still go out with a bang.
"Sorry, Freddy. Guess I can't play today. My *baby* brother did a big POO in his diaper!"
Before Paul could react, before Carrie could chastise him, Jamie was making his move. With one quick gesture, he grabbed a hold of his brother's shorts and tugged them down to the older boy's ankles. The sight that he, and Freddy, and anyone else in the park, was greeted by, was a shameful one.
A bulky medical pull-up, which had started out as plain white, but which now had brown poop stains starting to show through the thick material; it was a dirty, lumpy sight to behold.
Paul had actually broken out in tears over that, and Carrie had been beyond angry with Jamie for his cruel maneuver. As far as Jamie was aware though, the only punishment he'd received from the act was a time-out whenever they'd gotten back home. With such minor repercussions, the show had come across as being fully worth the price of admission.
But now it felt as though the cosmos wanted to punish him too. Why else would he be dooking himself so uncontrollably? Why else would his Goodnite be currently packed with hot, soft poop? He hadn't had an accident like this in years, where it was so voluminous and uncontrollable; he didn't feel sickly either, which made things all the more confusing for him.
"Jamie! Hurry up!"
"S-start it without me! I'm gonna be a few minutes!" He called back, the usual confidence in his voice now replaced by an anxious wilt.
He knew a few minutes wouldn't be enough to deal with this mess. He was actually at a complete loss for how he should handle a crisis of this nature and magnitude; cleaning up after waking up wet was easy, but a big mess like this? He didn't even know where to start.
It was all over his butt, and he could feel that it'd sloppily spread into the front of the Goodnite as well; it felt like he was hauling around a gallon of warm pudding, except the contents were actually probably looser than that. It was a miracle all its own that the Goodnite hadn't leaked, but then again, it *was* rated for liquids, and much of the diarrhea he'd had met that qualifier.
"Hey, what's taking you so long? Carrie doesn't wanna put in the popcorn until we're all on the pallet and--" His little sister's voice had started, but she stopped as she rounded the corner and saw Jamie with his dirtied Goodnite on display.
Jamie froze like a deer in the headlights, and words failed him. He wanted to angrily tell her to get out, to leave him alone, but instead he just stood there with tears in his eyes and a warbling lip.
The younger girl wrinkled her nose up as the miasma of his mess made itself known. "...EWWW! You...You POOPED your pants!"
There was no denying that, so there was hardly a point in trying to hide it. The Goodnite was very visibly soiled, and Leah knew well enough what the sight and smell of such a dirtied garment was like, since Paul frequently was in such a sorry state.
The situation only devolved from there, with Leah dashing off to tattle on him, and then with Carrie coming in to check on the veracity of the wild claim. Jamie could hardly defend himself through his choked sobs and stammered excuses, and he found himself getting put down on a towel in the bathroom, just like Paul had to deal with.
Ten minutes, a dozen baby wipes, and a lot of pitiful arguing later, he was being led by the hand into the living room. His gait was wide and awkward, and he crinkled softly with each step. His messy accident had been so bad that the babysitter had decided to take more severe precautions for the remainder of the evening, which meant that he was now sporting a pair of Paul's bulky diapers.
It was on the big side for him, which only made it look thicker and more ridiculous, and he had no experience in walking around in such a thing. Him and Paul now matched, wearing only pajama tops and their diapers, which Leah was smugly smiling over.
Paul may have been a meek boy, but he looked to enjoy his bratty brother finally getting his fair due for all the teasing that he'd been responsible for. It was a fair payback from the karma of the cosmos, and for the first time in a while, Jamie looked humbled.
The three children settled in for their movie, with Jamie sulking as he crossed his arms and tried to adjust to the crinkling of his new garment. Little did he know that his accident had been no accident, and that justice was being served by the very sitter who was supposed to be caring for them.
The weekend was still young too, and by the end of it, Jamie would come to understand all the humiliation that he'd heaped upon Paul. He too would become diaper dependent, a pantspooper, at least for a brief time, and he'd come to appreciate just how cruel his bullying had been.
Though whether things would return to normal when their parents returned, that would actually be yet to be seen. Creating a pantsfiller wasn't an exact science, and what was meant to be temporary could easily become something more. Once a rhythm was disrupted, it could be difficult to get it going again.
His tummy was already beginning to bubble again.
