Story #186: The Pee-Pee Diaper

"Everybody come look! I found a *pee-pee diaper* in the trash!"
A completely expected response from an immature first grader that still found potty humor to be the peak; more than simple amusement, it was a fixation that came from the developmentally appropriate desire to seem more mature by distancing one's self from that which was most infantile.
Children at this age were like piranhas, and a school of them were more than capable of stripping the proverbial flesh from the proverbial bone in seconds. Empathy was but crude scaffolding for these human larvae, and power was taken by the sacrifice of others.
School wasn't particularly interesting to these small savages, and thus there was always a craven desire for something to stimulate their attention. What was better than finding a torn page, laden with a captivating hook, to an otherwise unknown story?
The diaper was that torn page. It sat open atop the trash in the boy's room, with a mountain of crumpled paper towels beneath it, as if it was set on a podium in a museum. The puffy, cutely printed garment, which had become yellow and swollen, was an open question that begged for an answer. The children who gawked down at it, many of them anyways, hadn't seen much of diapers for a few years now.
These were six year olds, some even seven, and pottytraining usually concluded between two and three for the vast majority of them. Some perhaps had been slightly later, or had younger siblings, or maybe even still wet the bed, but this diaper in particular was something altogether different.
This was a diaper that had been worn during the day, had it not? It was too large to belong to a baby, and it was in a student bathroom! With all those clues coming together, it only made sense that this urine-soaked pair of babypants belonged to someone at this school: a student.
And it did. It belonged not only to a student at this school, but a student in this class; the wet diaper belonged to a little boy that was *there* in the circle of onlookers. With flushed cheeks, that very boy had to pretend to be just as tickled as everyone else, even though his heart was nervously pounding. He had to pretend to be surprised, even though he'd been the one to place the diaper there, less than half an hour ago.
That boy was Terry: a typically loudmouthed little hellion who couldn't keep still in class, partly due to his ADHD, which itself was a big part of the reason that he wore the diapers in the first place. He was easily distracted, emotionally volatile, and suffered from poor executive function, which was a perfect recipe for tinkling in his trousers (and rarely, so much worse).
He'd whizzed on himself during story time in class, and he'd secretly snuck away during recess to get himself into something dry. It would have been a lot safer to go to the nurse for such a thing, but he'd been unwilling, since the nurse's office had recently gotten a new assistant that made mortifying comments about his lackluster toileting skills.
It was hard to discern if she meant to humiliate him, or if she was just naturally overbearing, but either way was wholly unacceptable to his developing ego. So he'd decided that he would handle things himself if possible, which had meant stuffing a couple of diapers in his Pokemon backpack with a travel case of baby wipes.
He was a *big kid* now, regardless of wearing diapers, and that meant he felt capable of handling his own changes. He'd practiced at home on cleaning himself up and taping a new diaper around his own waist, and while he was hardly a professional, he did well enough to get the job done. He'd already done it a couple of times at school already, but he'd never run into this particular issue until now.
He'd admittedly gotten sloppy. He had been running short on time, and he hadn't wanted to miss any more time at recess, so he hadn't balled up his soggy diaper nor had he made an attempt to stuff it down below the paper towels in the trashcan. His juvenile mind had been incapable of thinking ahead about the consequences.
It was a stupid mistake that any other first grader could have easily made, assuming that any other kid his age would be changing out of pee-pee diapers in the first place.
Regret was hitting him hard now, like a rock in the pit of his stomach. His mind replayed what he'd done: waddling into the little boy's room with a swollen diaper under his shorts, while the rest of the boys were playing outside; stepping into a stall and locking it behind him, and then pulling down his shorts and carefully untaping the saturated garment.
He'd struggled a little bit to get the tape job just right, to the point where he had sat down on the closed toilet seat to adjust things. Then he'd gotten redressed and lazily tossed the pissy thing in the trash, without even looking at how full the can already was.
Terry had then gone on to to and enjoy the rest of his recess period with his peers; in that jovial time, he had let himself completely forget about the change, in favor of instead focusing on foursquare or the monkey bars. It wasn't until they were coming back inside, that he remembered how precariously he had left things.
Their teacher, Mrs. Gonzales, had stopped at the bathrooms with her line of munchkins, just like every other day after recess. The girls went to the girl's room and the boys went to the boy's room, which initially excluded Terry, since he had no reason to go in there.
But then he'd heard giggling. He'd heard the word 'diaper', and he'd felt like he had no choice but to walk inside the lion's den.
And now he was having to pretend to feel the same way as the rest of the boys. He had to act as if he was crudely amused at the sight of the yellow-stained wad of shame in the trash; he giggled, albeit nervously, and mindlessly agreed with all the childish commentary that his peers made.
He couldn't risk seeming suspicious, or else these other boys would eat him alive.
"It's too big for a baby!"
"Nuh-uh, only *babies* wear diapers. Even big babies."
"I went before recess and it wasn't here before!"
"At least it's not a poo diaper!"
The colorful commentary was no surprise, and it wasn't as if Terry could blame them for being so interested in the enigma before them. If the shoe had been on a different foot, then Terry himself would probably have lead the charge on investigating it.
Hearing the term 'poo diaper' only made his cheeks get redder though, as he was suddenly glad that his accident hadn't been worse. It was more rare for him to dook in his pants, but it still happened on occasion, and that was a lot more difficult to clean up or hide.
On the flipside, a poopy diaper would have strongly compelled him to visit the dreaded nurse's office instead, which would have insured that this never would have happened in the first place. A poopy diaper would have also helped to hide the--
His eyes suddenly widened. Nobody else had apparently seen it yet, but he suddenly remembered something critical about the diapers he took to school: they had his name written on the inside, near the top of of the backside, for the sake of having the nurse's office hold onto them.
The soggy diaper, while open in the trash, had just the slightest curling that obscured his name from being out in the open. From his vantage point, he could only see some partial lettering, and he really hoped that nobody else saw that.
"Probably belongs to one of the Kindergarten babies." Terry suddenly remarked in an attempt to cover his tracks, to hopefully throw his classmates off of his scent.
"Hehe, yeah! Couldn't belong to any big kids like us!" Another boy chortled, seemingly lacking the self-awareness to admit how tiny the difference was between first grade 'big kids' and Kindergarten 'babies'.
"..Hey, there's something written on it..." A different boy suddenly pointed out, starting to look more closely, though keeping his hands away from actually touching it.
Miraculously, it was at that moment that their teacher called from outside to herd her flock back into a neat line. As much autonomy as she wanted to afford the youngsters, it was obvious whenever 'potty time' had turned to 'play time', and there were still lessons on the docket for the day.
The boys filed out of the bathroom, still giggling among one another about what they had found, but Terry could rest easy in the knowledge that nobody had looked closely enough to see his name printed on the Pamper.
Feeling fortunate about his situation, Terry let himself forget about the ordeal and instead centered his focus back on matters of academia. He kept a healthy amount of concern in the back of his mind, since the diaper obviously wouldn't be forgotten so fast, but it no longer came across as an imminent threat to him. It just meant that he would need to be more careful from now on!
One boy wasn't yet ready to abandon things as they were though. One of the boys who had been gawking along with the others, had been staring the soggy diaper down with a more deeply invested interest than the others.
Levi, a much quieter boy than Terry, had been captivated by the sight. He hadn't been disgusted or amused, but instead had been infatuated by what he had seen. It wasn't an interest that he would ever readily admit, but it'd been one that he'd been wrestling with since barely being out of diapers himself.
He was too young to understand his own emotions on the matter, but he was savvy enough to realize that his fixation was a taboo, and that it was something he needed to keep to himself. Perhaps it was a psychological urge to regress, or maybe a neurodivergent obsession based on early sensory information.
The reason didn't really matter. What did matter was how he felt, and what he felt was that he *needed* to return to that diaper. Especially since it was the biggest size of one that he had seen until this point, which directly contradicted his parents' lie about him getting too 'big' to fit in them.
Levi got antsy in class, his mind running wild with thoughts of the soaked thing; his biggest worry was that it would somehow vanish before he got a chance to return to it. Would someone else deign to steal his treasure? Would the trash get taken out? Such inquiries gnawed at his tiny mind.
It eventually came near the end of the day, and Levi knew he needed to act while he still had time. Once school got out, the halls would be flooded with students, and plenty of boys would likely either need to use the potty before going home or would want another peek at the 'pee-pee diaper'.
Taking this as his last chance, Levi shot his hand in the air and sheepishly asked permission to go to the restroom; since he was one of the 'good eggs' in the class, his teacher allowed him to go without an accountability buddy, which was perfect for what he had in mind.
Creeping back into the bathroom, with scant minutes before the end of the day, he was pleasantly surprised to see that the diaper was still exactly where he'd seen it earlier. Without any prying eyes, he could now indulge his bizarre fascination to the full extent that he'd wanted earlier; not just looking at it, but picking it up and really examining it.
It was heavier than he'd expected, and it seemed even bigger whenever he was holding it. With the ends now supported by his tiny fingers, he could now see that there was indeed something written on the inside, near the top of the back waistband:
'Terry'
He had to squint and sound it out, since he hadn't read the name much before, but then he immediately went wide-eyed. It didn't seem like much of a coincidence that the name printed on the diaper was the same as the rambunctious troublemaker in his class; how many kids named Terry even went to this school? It felt most plausible that it *had* to be referring to his classmate!
Levi had mixed feelings about it. Terry and him had never gotten along all that well, since their personalities were so diametrically opposed. Levi found Terry to be obnoxious and rude, while Terry probably found Levi to be a wimpy stick-in-the-mud.
To think that he had such a huge secret! To think that he was living the dream that Levi ached for! Levi was envious for sure, but more than that, he was intrigued. He wondered whether it would be best to directly confront Terry about it, or if there was more value in trying to build an exploitative rapport with the boy. Could he befriend him for his own selfish desires?
Before any of that could come to pass, Levi decided that he couldn't miss out on this opportunity. He lived only a couple of streets away from the school, so he'd be walking home, and his after school babysitter was a layabout that wouldn't bother him much; it made for a perfect time to give this diaper a test drive.
Levi wasn't easily disgusted, and his desires overshadowed whatever sense of shame that should have come over him; wet or not, he was going to wear this diaper home.
Getting it on was harder than he'd thought it would be. It was pretty hefty already, and the tapes weren't as strong as they'd likely been the first time around; it was also cold, squishy, and a little smelly. The faint scent of ammonia and talcum were reminiscent of his younger cousin's bedroom: the telltale odor of a bedwetter.
His cartoon printed briefs were what made it all work; the briefs were taut over the swollen diaper and kept it snugly in place, much like a onesie might. That itself made him start to imagine whether Terry had other infantile attributes in his life, such as clothes or furniture, but he tried not to get ahead of himself.
Levi practiced walking around the bathroom for a minute, and then he made his way back to the classroom, with the intention of dawdling long enough to run out the last few minutes of the school day. By the time he reached the door, his classmates were already exiting the room, and he was able to casually go inside to procure his backpack. He gave a bashful apology to the teacher for taking so long and then left the same way that the others had.
He made sure to enjoy his walk home, while trying to adjust to the awkward gait that the diaper forced upon him. He stopped for a few moments at the end of his street and forced himself to piddle a little bit in the cold diaper, partly from his own curiosity and partly because he figured it may be more comfortable if it was 'warmed up' a bit.
His stream was small, but that had been somewhat intentional; he wasn't exactly sure how much pee a diaper could hold, and his babysitter might actually notice if he walked in the door with a big stain down his shorts. He also wasn't accustomed to the idea of whizzing on himself, even though he wanted to.
Going inside his house was a short trip. He already knew what he really wanted to do, and past experiences told him it would be far too much of a risk to do in his bedroom. Lunch was finally catching up with his gut, and so he decided that to truly christen these Pampers, he was going to use them to their full potential.
He lazily greeted his babysitter and told her that he was going to go play outside until dinner. She was busy watching something on television, so she just waved him off and mumbled something about staying in the neighborhood, to which he cheerfully agreed.
The boy made a quick trip to his bedroom and gathered a few things to put in his backpack: wipes, a comic book, and his secret binky.
With everything gathered, and his babysitter none the wiser, he grabbed a juice box from the kitchen and left back out the front door. His neighborhood was on the precipice of the forest, and he'd long had a 'fort' of sorts in those woods; it'd be the perfect place for some 'baby' time!
Once he was alone and comfortable, he stripped down to the point where it was only the diaper that he was wearing, with his underoos still playing the role of support. He crouched down inside the confines of his little fort, his fortress of solitude, and he began to push with all his might.
He'd rarely had the opportunity to intentionally soil himself, especially after getting punished for hiding messy makeshift diapers in his room, so it took a genuine effort to get things moving along in his bowels.
Sucking on his pacifier, face red as a tomato, he finally felt a rush of magmatic mush flooding the back of the diaper. It felt like having warm oatmeal in his pants, and he wasted no time in sitting down in the sticky pile to revel in it.
Levi flipped open his comic book and fully relaxed, with his bottom now settling in a bubbling bog of his own filth. While his eyes were scanning the pages, his mind was a million miles elsewhere, with Terry being the focus.
He still had to decide on how he would approach his diapered classmate about this. Would he be gentle and manipulative, or would he play hardball? Either way, he refused to let this be the last doo-doo diaper he got to enjoy.
