Lance felt embittered by the arrival of the transfer student; he'd only been at their school for a little over a month now, and it felt like he'd taken the wind beneath Lance's wings.
Whenever Robbie had first come into their class, Lance had been willing to extend an olive branch to him; it was the polite thing to do, and Robbie didn't come across as all that impressive upon a first impression. Lance thought he'd just be an average kid, who wouldn't be a threat to the status that Lance had cultivated for himself.
Lance had been the 'smart' kid in their class for years; he wasn't some kind of genius or prodigy, but he was diligent enough in his studies to always come out on top with grades. Partially due to parental pressure, but also because Lance had little else to make his identity. Lance wasn't particularly athletic, funny, or socially adept, so being the brainiac was all he had to impress his peers with.
Lance would quickly discover that Robbie had more to offer; Robbie was witty and charming, and while he hadn't completely supplanted Lance in grades, he'd come pretty close. If Lance's intelligence was a ten, then Robbie was easily a nine, while also having a nine in charisma and creativity.
He wasn't pompous about it either, which was something that Lance himself had been known for; there was humility and modesty, as if Robbie was only incidentally great. Robbie never bragged or even seemed to care all that deeply about his grades; he would raise his hand to answer a question, not to show off, but simply to participate.
Lance despised Robbie.
It was the sort of hatred that everyone had experienced at least once in their life, where it was wholly unfounded and instead was a problem of ego. If Lance was intellectually honest with himself, or at least emotionally honest, then he would have recognized how unfair his spite really was.
Robbie would have gladly been a friend, but as it was, Lance considered him a bitter enemy. Robbie might have been clueless about such a characterization, that he was a nemesis to the seething boy, but Lance felt the dynamic to be very real.
Lance spent a lot of time seething in class, which led to daydreaming, where he would put himself in fantastical scenes of self-aggrandizement; he would imagine the commendations he would get from his teacher and classmates, where even Robbie would gush about his knowledge.
But that would eventually not be enough for his ego; the idea of reclaiming his status, while also making Robbie a sycophant, wasn't enough. He wouldn't be happy raising himself up, unless that also meant Robbie would be left far lower than he now was.
So imagine Lance's gleeful grin, whenever he discovered Robbie's biggest secret. A secret that should sink any other elementary student and leave them as a social outcast:
Robbie still wore diapers.
Lance had discovered this juicy tidbit by accident, whenever he had gone to the nurse's office to pick up the new inhaler that his parents had dropped off. Inside the same cabinet, where all such personal medical supplies were held, was a package of diapers that were big enough for a kid their age.
Lance may have brushed it off as something meant for the special kids, or even as simply as supplies for repeated accidents, but there was a sticky note taped onto it:
'R. Rogers'
That was the same surname that Robbie had, and while it may have been a coincidence, Lance believed that there was a definite connection. It was enough evidence for Lance to at least investigate, with the hope that he'd uncover something great enough to cut Robbie down to size.
He began to watch his 'rival' more closely; specifically, he started to spend a lot of time looking at the boy's butt, as if trying to discern if there was anything bulky under his baggy clothes. Lance also tried to think of a time whenever he'd spotted Robbie at the urinals, or if the boy had only ever gone into a stall to allegedly do his business.
He would eventually get his answer, little by little, as he quietly kept tabs on the new kid. He'd recognize how infrequently Robbie appeared to use the bathroom, how often he got a nurse's pass, and the biggest break would come during his constant surveillance:
He *saw* the white waistband of the diaper, poking above Robbie's shorts, for just a brief moment during recess.
Convinced of his findings, Lance would go on to discover *why* the wonderboy was walking around in Pampers. He couldn't simply ask, since Robbie would likely deny the truth and would know that Lance was onto him, so he had to take an alternate route.
He would have to use subterfuge.
One day at school, Lance feigned feeling ill and got a pass to go see the nurse. He crowed about feeling sick to his stomach, and the nurse had him lay down on the cot in her office to feel better. As soon as she stepped out of the room to get coffee, he got up and ransacked her student files.
It was risky, but it did yield the exact answer that he'd been looking for. According to Robbie's file, he had a medical issue that caused poor bladder control, which confirmed the fact that the new class 'sweetheart' was a diapered dork. This was big news, but it wasn't quite what Lance had *really* hoped for.
It was a medical issue, after all, and thus there was a risk that Lance would be taking in trying to use the secret as a cudgel; there was a high likelihood that Lance himself would be considered a cruel bully for making fun of Robbie for something he couldn't help.
Lance could leak the information anonymously, which would surely impact how their classmates looked at Robbie, but it may only just remain an unconfirmed rumor like that, and even if it didn't, then such a slow disclosure would give their peers time to acclimate to the idea.
Ideally, Robbie would have some kind of trouser malfunction in the middle of class and flash everybody his Pampers, but the odds of that happening were pretty low. Or perhaps his diaper could leak and stain his shorts, but Lance had no way of ensuring that either.
On a different note, the revelation came as a bit of a disappointment to Lance for other reasons too: it being such a plain medical condition and it only affecting his bladder control, which came across as also meaning that he wasn't even totally bladder incontinent.
Lance had wanted more razzle-dazzle; he had wanted someone provocative, shocking, and mortifying. He wasn't completely sure what would have satisfied him, or what his criteria truly was, but this hadn't fulfilled it.
Still, Lance continued on in keeping a close eye on Robbie; he continued to keep tabs on the boy during school, and he didn't stop daydreaming about the day that Robbie got what Lance believed he deserved. The classroom daydreams became more elaborate over time, and far more bitter.
What had started out as a simple envisioning of Robbie losing his status as 'clever', had evolved into something far darker. The daydreams started to further incorporate the diapers that Lance now knew his 'rival' wore, and all of Robbie's most acclaimed traits were being flipped on their head.
At some point, Robbie had been twisted so grotesquely in Lance's mind, that Lance began to have a hard time seeing him as any other way. Lance was beginning to truly believe, on a subconscious level, that Robbie was a bumbling, diaper-dumping buffoon, and that the public-facing visage was but a lie.
It made Lance all the more furious and resentful, to have his ego fractured by this Huggies-fudging *retard* being praised instead of him.
All of this would come to an explosive finish during one unassuming school day. Lance would be vindicated, though he absolutely didn't deserve it.
Lance sat directly behind Robbie in class, much to his own chagrin, but the position had actually been beneficial for the sake of his earlier investigation and current daydreaming. With Robbie so close to him, it was never hard to visualize him becoming whatever Lance so fancied.
Earlier in the class, Lance had been once again irked by the actions of his nemesis; Robbie had answered a question and been commended for his intellect, even though Lance had been waving his hand frantically in a bid to be called on. Yet another vexing way that he'd been unjustly treated.
Lance put his hand to his head to balance it, and the teacher announced that they'd begin their period of quiet reading. Lance had a book out in front of him, but he wasn't particularly interested in such a mundane plot, not whenever he could concoct a far more interesting story in the theater of his mind.
His eyes settled on the back of Robbie's shorts, where he knew the bulky youth diaper was hiding, and he began to imagine a very different timeline of what may happen during their reading time.
There was nothing new about it; he did this nearly every day, usually for an unhealthy amount of time, and it'd never been anything but 'make-believe' before this.
But this time, for some inexplicable reason, was very different.
As Lance imagined it, his waking dreamscape became a reality in front of his eyes; so caught in his fantasy, he didn't even recognize that what was happening wasn't simply stuck in the corners of his mind.
The back of Robbie's pants began to slowly puff out with a bulge, a low crackling giving life to the scene before Lance. He'd imagined it a dozen times, where Robbie just crapped his diaper in the middle of class, which would lead to his inevitable humiliation. What Lance couldn't see, though he still imagined it in great detail, was the mushbrained expression that would settle on Robbie's face.
That was the point where Lance was at with these little phantom reveries that he was so entranced with; the ongoing theme had become aimed heavily at Robbie's intellect, his quick wit, since that was what Lance was most chafed by. So he imagined Robbie to be a simpleton that drooled and blew snot bubbles while he grunted out steamers in his diapers.
Pouring over these mental machinations, oblivious to the forces spinning his conciousness upon the cosmic loom, Lance didn't bat an eye as Robbie suddenly kicked off his shoes under his desk. With socked feet dangling above the muted carpet of the classroom, the boy also began to fiddle with the zipper to his pants.
It wasn't until the shirt came off and was cast to the ground, that Lance began to realize that such vividness was not a normal route for a daydream to take. Spaced-out staring had been quickly replaced by a gawk of disbelief, and Lance would hardly be the only one that came to the same reaction.
The rest of the class, enraptured in their books, and the teacher, eyes-down on papers to grade, were notably unaware of what was transpiring in front of them. Robbie had stood out of his chair and wiggled his legs right out of his pants, leaving them in a pile between his feet, which he awkwardly stepped out of and bent down to retrieve the bottoms.
It was the first time that Lance had seen the diaper for real, instead of just the waistband or in his twisted imagination. It was just as bulky and uncool looking as he thought it would be, and it looked slightly used in the back already. Lance stared, jaw dropped, while Robbie put the pants on his head like a hat, and began to fidget on his feet.
The first of the laughter came seconds later, whenever one of their peers had finally looked up from his book to identify the rustling sound in the room. One look at the ridiculous way that Robbie was dressed, and he absolutely lost it.
"Hahahaha! Oh my gosh! He's wearing a DIAPER!"
And not a whole lot else, but that only amplified the image of the infantile 'underpants' that Robbie so confidently presented to everyone.
The announcement broke through the silence of the 'quiet reading' session and all hell broke loose. Twenty immature children were suddenly looking up and seeing their fellow student in a state of complete degradation; twenty pairs of eyes that snapped directly to the thing that Robbie had been so careful with hiding up until now.
The teacher was last to notice anything was awry; while grading papers, she had arrogantly thought, or perhaps naively thought, that she could stick some earbuds in and calm her mind with some atmospheric tunes. With the sounds of giggling and jeers blocked out, she would spend the first few minutes in a complete separation from the events unfolding.
In those few minutes, Robbie hadn't disappointed his audience by any measure; he'd strutted around the room like a buffoon, with his hand squeezing intermittently at the seat of his diaper, like a kid with a wedgie, except this kid had a small load he was sporting in back.
His attitude was so lax and his shame so utterly nonexistent, that it could almost come across as a bizarre performance piece by a truly dedicated thespian, but Lance knew this was no act.
By some strange twist of fate, Lance had literally willed for his 'rival' to become a farcical caricature; Robbie had been molded by the furtive hands of Lance's imagination to become a drooling retard that wore his pants as a hat.
Whenever Robbie had started to pee himself, while dancing around on the carpet, Lance finally found the wherewithal to pull his phone from his pocket. He fumbled frantically with the touchscreen to get to his streaming channel, where he usually showed off his Minecraft constructs. He hit record and placed the phone lower, so it wouldn't be so obvious what he was doing.
It took a minute for anyone online to see it, but once they did, the stream began to get linked to like a wildfire. Lance had never attracted an audience past maybe twenty or thirty people, with many of those being personal online friends or real life classmates, but it only took one shocked interloper to help things go viral.
It was around this time that a little girl had finally gone to tug on the teacher's sleeve and tattle about what was going on. The teacher, a fairly no-nonsense woman, was appalled by the sight of one of her brightest students acting in such an absurd way. She stood up and was at first lost for words; over two decades teaching and she'd never had anything quite like this happen in her classroom.
Robbie was happily eating his own booger by this point, after digging in his nostril, and he still seemed completely indifferent to his own humiliation. Lance had made him too stupid to even realize why he should be embarrassed, or to feel horrified by his own rapid devolution.
"Robert! What on earth do you think you are doing?!"
The diaper wasn't a surprise to the teacher, who had been informed at the beginning of the semester of Robbie's medical needs, but everything else was a shock to the system. She watched as the little boy turned his head to look at her, finger jammed back in his nose for more treats.
"I gotta make doodies." He stated plainly, not asking to use the restroom or warning that he was about to have an accident, but simply making idle commentary on what he was about to do.
The teacher was taken aback, "I'm sorry, you have to do *what*?"
The question, only asked because she couldn't believe what she was hearing, was answered with a noisy sputtering of gas.
**BBRRAAAAAAPPPP!**
The laughter in the room, which had died down to an idle snickering while the teacher spoke, was suddenly reignited into a raucous ovation.
Robbie's face began to turn red and he began to shamelessly let out loud grunts of exertion; anyone to ever babysit a diapered child knew exactly what was happening. The drool began to coat his chin and dribble down his bare chest, while boogers hung stupidly from his nostrils, bobbing up and down like a scale.
"Mmmmppph! Here... come... da' DOODIES!" Robbie shouted, his knees bending and his padded rear pushing out behind him.
His bowels were like a log flume ride, and each of those logs crashed into the bulky backside of his diaper; within a few gassy pushes, Robbie had already caused a three turd pileup, and the lumpy mound was only growing by the moment. His face contorted with every loaf that he pinched, becoming more self-deprecating with each passing second of his self-defecation.
Toots peppered the padding and he had to wiggle his tush to keep the poles of poop pushing out; the diaper began to sag from the hefty deposit, showing the top of his buttcrack, and the showstopper was a twenty second long fart that thundered and heralded a final behemoth steamer to finish things off.
He was left hunched over, panting with his tongue lolling to the side and his eyes in different directions; his mouth was a river of drool, the boogers hung low, and there was not a single iota of wit left to recognize. The classroom had the ripe and earthy smell of his poop, the fumes wafting like a smokestack from his fully packed seat.
The class was in chaos, the teacher clueless on where to start in disciplining this, Robbie the class sweetheart was now 'Robbie the Retard', and Lance's stream had hit record numbers of viewers.
Before anything else, Lance made sure to save the stream as a standalone video. Pondering on what to name it, he had a stroke of brilliance and smiled:
'Diaper-Dooker Goes Pants-On-Head Retarded'
The perfect title for the perfect destruction of the boy he had envied do deeply.
