Tale #135: Playing Dumb (Part 2)

"You really want me to do that already? Do I...Do I really need to *practice* that?"
Taylor found himself in the basement room of his friend Willis, standing there in a t-shirt and a cheap white Pull-Up. He'd been dutiful, if not apprehensive, to everything he'd been told so far, but now Willis was expecting him to practice the part of this that Taylor was most reluctant about.
Peeing in the training pants.
At least, that's all he thought his so-called friend was asking of him. It was all for the sake of the plan that the two had started to concoct, in order to delay the imminent advent of middle school. If Taylor could fake and flunk himself into SPED, then he could take another year to gather his courage, all while getting out of doing any real work for the rest of fifth grade.
That would mean faking a head injury, and that would mean acting mushbrained enough to get put into special ed. According to Willis, it was non-negotiable that he have 'accidents' after his 'accident'.
But the idea was really gross to Taylor, and a little more openly debasing than he wanted. Talking like a dope and picking his nose was one thing, but wearing diapers and wetting himself? Or worse, pooping on himself like Seth? It was unthinkable.
Willis furrowed his brow in annoyance, as if Taylor was being unreasonable by questioning what was being asked of him. As if giving up a lifetime of pottytraining etiquette was as simple as could be.
"Yeah, you need to practice. That's the part that's gonna be the hardest for you, dude. It's the most important part, so you can't just phone it in; if it doesn't look convincing, then they'll know right away. Then you'll just look like a weird kid that is going in their pants on purpose."
Taylor shifted his stance, "I kinda *already* feel like the weird kid going in their pants on purpose. I mean, that's literally what you're asking me to do."
"You know what I mean, man! Just do it, okay? You can take a shower before you leave if you're that grossed out, but you need to get comfortable doing it."
Taylor sighed and weakly nodded. As strange as it all seemed, he trusted that Willis was working toward the same goal that he was, or more accurately Willis was tirelessly working to make sure Taylor reached his goal. If he thought this was important, then it probably was; Willis was the expert, right?
The boy relaxed his body and closed his eyes. He had to try to pretend he was at a urinal as he pushed down on his bladder muscles. It felt futile, as his bladder had been well-trained by years of expertly not hosing himself; trying to break that instinct felt impossible.
"...What are you waiting for?"
"I'm trying, dude! It's not as easy as it looks. It feels totally weird to try..."
Willis frowned and folded his arms, "Think of a waterfall or something, man. Do you need a drink or something?"
Taylor slowly shook his head. He needed to go, he knew that much, but it was just a matter of opening the floodgates. After another minute of shifting pressure on and off in his lower abdomen, he felt the tiniest trickle leak out into the Pull-Up; feeling emboldened, he tried to ride that trickle and turn it into a stream.
After several minutes of standing quietly in place, the rosy-faced boy was finally peeing his pants. It came in spurts, instead of a singular continuum, but he could slowly feel the front of the undergarment growing warm against his groin; the material wicked it all away and absorbed it into its polymers, which began to slowly cause the disposable brief to swell up.
"...T-there...! I p-peed in it..." He stammered with a sheepish look on his face as he bit his lip and peered down.
Willis sighed, "That took way too long, dude. You really need to practice that, or else it's gonna be obvious that you aren't having accidents."
"Well, I mean...It's not like I have to ever pee my pants, so my bladder doesn't wanna follow orders." The boy mewled, shifting from foot to foot in obvious discomfort.
The excitement levels about the plan was clearly pretty different between the two boys; even though it was purely to benefit Taylor, he seemed completely opposed to what it took to reach the goal, while Willis had no clear benefit and was working hard to get Taylor 'tard trained'. Willis stepped forward and looked closer at the yellow stain on the front of the Pull-Up; he reached over and gave the squishy material a prod.
"I think you need to work on this part before we stage your injury. I have some more of those you can take home with you to practice with."
Taylor gave a half-hearted nod, though he still wasn't completely on-board with this facet of faking an intellectual disability. He'd kind of hoped to just act like a dummy by saying stupid stuff and acting like a dolt, so this sullying of his pottytraining was out of his comfort zone, for both reasons of pride and hygiene.
"Okay, let's work on something else. You need to work on walking funny and talking like an idiot. Maybe go ahead and practice drooling on yourself too." His 'coach' ordered, stepping back and folding his arms.
Taylor started to toddle around the room, actively grimacing from the feel of the damp, bloated trainers rubbing against his thighs. Walking funny was at least easier with the soggy garment on, so he was able to move pretty convincingly. He slackened his jaw too and loosened his lips; he had enough saliva in his mouth to get a good stream of drool dribbling down his chin.
"...Good, good. Nice vacant look...Now, introduce yourself to me, as if you don't know me."
Taylor stopped and took a breath, "Hewwo! Me Tay-Tay! Who you?"
Willis smiled at that. From what he could tell, Taylor could do the walk and the talk pretty well, but it was the potty part that he was struggling with. There was still the more critical potty failure to practice too, though he was worried that Taylor might be resistant, since it had taken so much coaxing just to get him to pee himself.
"Very good! Do a little nose picking and booger eating, and you'll have the walk and talk pretty much locked. You'll need to practice more, of course, but you're on the right track."
Taylor beamed, strangely proud of his acting skills. That's how he had to justify it to himself, that he was just being an actor in a temporary role, and not that he was actively working to ruin his own future. "Good. I think I'm ready to take that shower now."
"Not so fast..." Willis clicked his tongue and put a hand on Taylor's shoulder, "You still need to do the most important 'special ed' thing. The thing that'll get you put in the dummy class for sure."
The boy cocked his head, unsure what Willis was talking about, though having a faint idea that it couldn't be good. "Umm, what?"
Willis reached down and gingerly gave Taylor's padded rump a rub and a pat. "You need to make a number two in your pants."
Time may as well have stopped right there, because Taylor just froze and waited for Willis to laugh it off as a joke, but the laugh never came. His 'friend' was being serious about Taylor pooping his training pants, as if he was an actual mushbrain and not just aspiring to play the part of one.
"...I...I don't really want to do that. I think that's too far." Taylor finally mumbled bashfully, his face getting red at the mere suggestion of soiling himself.
That frown returned to Willis' face and he furrowed his brow at the denial. "You *have* to do it, at least once. You can stop doing it when you get put into special ed, but it's vital that you do it after we fake your injury. Crapping your pants is like, a number one sign that your brain is all messed up."
Taylor fidgeted in place and wondered if Willis was right about that. It did seem like an intellectually devoid action to perform, and it probably would help seal the deal, but it just sounded too disgusting to actually go along with. He'd been repulsed by peeing himself, so pooping himself just seemed beyond the pale.
"N-no, there's gotta be a different way..." Taylor shook his head, "A less gross way. Not every kid in the dummy room is dookin' their pants, no way!"
"Maybe not, but all those kids have probably had to go through a lot of tests and stuff to decide to put them in there. It probably took a real long time to decide that's where they belong, and you don't have that kinda leeway to play with. You gotta make it undeniable from the get-go!" His tone was supportive, but also a lot more firm than it probably should have been for the role that Willis had stepped into.
"But--"
"--No buts, except usin' yours to take a dump in your pants. Trust me, if you just do it one time at the beginning, then it'll go a really far way in getting you placed out of the normal classes. Now do it, Taylor; poop in the Pull-Up." It sounded less like encouragement from his coach and more like the stern demand of a bully.
It was enough to make Taylor wonder why Willis was so adamant that this be done a certain way, or why Willis had gone to such great lengths to support this hair-brained scheme in the first place. Neither boy had much in the way of friends, with each other being a loose definition of that, so Taylor couldn't be completely convinced that this was a bizarre attitude for Willis to be taking.
As far as Taylor knew, Willis was the expert on the matter, so his information was at least good. The advice was coming from a place of knowledge, but why such excitement? Why such determination from someone who wouldn't directly benefit at all? It felt prudent to ask such questions, but it also felt a little rude, since Willis had been nothing but helpful thus far.
All Taylor could convince himself of was that Willis was simply an anal person who had very specific ideas on how things should be carried out, and that he took enough pride in his work to not want anything sidelining his vision. Like a perfectionist on a group project.
"O-okay, well, that's gonna be a little harder than peeing my pants. I'll try, but I want to take a shower right after!"
Willis smiled and gave his friend a pat on the shoulder. "Attaboy! Okay, go ahead and get started. If you can, try to act stupid while you do it. Pretend you're pushing your smarts out into your diaper."
"Pull-Up." Taylor swiftly corrected with a frown, which just made him sound like a fussy toddler.
"Right, Pull-Up. My bad. But yeah, get drooly and maybe try to blow your nose a bit too, so you have some boogies showing. Think about Dill from Rugrats and do pretty much what he does."
Taylor sighed and put a hand on his gut. He'd luckily skipped using the bathroom earlier in the day, so he at least needed to go, even if it wasn't urgent. He was hoping for something solid, something firm, where there wouldn't be a big gross mess. The boy spread his legs and took some deep breaths.
"It'll be easier if you squat down." Willis helpfully informed, "That's how toddlers usually do it."
Taylor's face reddened at the tip, but he nodded along and started to bend his knees, until he was down on his haunches with his soggy trainers hovering above the floor. He again closed his eyes and tried to imagine that he was on the toilet. He pushed down on his bowels a few times, but didn't feel anything coming; he pushed a little harder, but it felt like he was going to injure himself if he strained too much.
"Come on, Taylor. You can do it. Just empty your head and become a dumb-dumb..." Willis coaxed, standing right behind him.
"Mmmph...T-trying..." Taylor grunted back in response, puffing his cherry cheeks out.
Finally, there was a gassy outburst that broke the silence of the room. A sputtering into the Pull-Up that heralded something more impressive to come. Willis grinned and quietly pulled his phone out of his pocket to record the scene, with Taylor being none the wiser.
"You're close! Just keep pushing..."
Taylor tried to keep his friend's words in his mind and he let drool again seep down his chin, which was easier now that he was having to extert himself so much. It made it easier to blow snot from his nostrils too, giving his face a fully vacuous appearance as he attempted to pinch a log.
He was prairie-dogging by now, able to feel something big on the cusp of release; something large that was pushing against the fabric material of the Pull-Up, making it bulge outward and then retreat multiple times. All of which was being caught in crisp 1080p.
It felt completely alien and wrong to be doing this off of a toilet, as well as having an audience for it. It was only the fact that he'd already come so far that he didn't shy away completely; the costs were feeling as sunken as the bottom of the Pull-Up was about to be.
Closer and closer, and then one big push...!
The steamer fully slid past the precipice and crashed with a dry crackling against the padded wall of his disposable brief. Willis watched as the lump tented to a fully erect position, showing very clearly the size and shape of the firm pantload that Taylor had jettisoned out into his trainers.
"..Hehe, wow! You really had to go..." Willis gushed, dropping any sense of neutrality and gawking down at what he'd thought would be nearly impossible to convince his 'friend' to do.
"Y-yeah, I...O-oh, hold on..." Taylor winced, squeezing his eye back shut as his stomach had a spasm thst foretold there was still something that needed release. Taylor grunted again, his body stiffening from his shoulders to his calves and his toes curling inside his socks.
**SPLLLLRRRT! Frrrrrt... Brapp-brapp-brapp...**
As if the firm log had been a cork, the mess that followed on its heels was much softer, like a warm pudding. It came out fast at first, in one big splatter, but then immediately reduced to very little in the proceeding toots.
What it *was* enough to do was to make it a less simple clean-up, and the much softer mush did a more pronounced job at staining the bulging seat with an icky, poopy brown color; a discoloration that was muted by the puffy material, but which was very obvious in the leg cuffs.
"...Ughhh....Yuck..." Taylor bemoaned as he finished soiling himself.
Willis stopped recording and stuffed the phone back in his pocket, since it'd be hard to explain what his motivation was for capturing the scene. "You did a good job, Taylor. Not perfect, but better than I thought you'd do."
It felt odd to be praised for crapping himself, but Taylor forced a smile and slowly stood back up. "Thanks? If I have to do it once, then fine, but I definitely wouldn't wanna get stuck doing it all the time."
Willis didn't plan on letting this be the only time that Taylor messed himself in front of him, but there was no use in quibbling about it now. It would be better to first get Taylor in a position where it became his only choice. "Well, just don't act so grossed out when you do it, okay? Dummies like having poopy pants."
"Ugh...Right. Okay, so umm, the shower?"
Willis pointed to a nearby door, "Baby wipes are under the sink, since you might need to clean up a little before you get in the shower. Whenever you come back out, we can finish up for the day."
Taylor nodded and very gingerly waddled into the basement bathroom, his stained seat sagging low from the newfound heft inside. While he got cleaned up, Willis would be treasuring the new video he'd gotten and would start making considerations for the rest of the plan.
The two boys had very different outcomes in mind, which Taylor would eventually come to find, though it would be far too late whenever he did.
